Worth Every Penny

This was my favorite part of the whole trip, which was part of a 10-day cruise that left from Reykjavik and finished in Southampton. The lagoon was amazing. The views were stunning, it didn't feel too crowded, and the 7-step ritual was worth every penny. I also enjoyed the cafe. I got the cheese plate, which was delicious, and a glass of Moet. I had the best sleep in ages that night.

Marieke was a fantastic guide giving us some history along with recent activities in the areas we traveled. Be sure to wear comfy shoes (with good grip) and clothes. Also don’t forget to bring a brush for after the Blue Lagoon shower.

Great Tour of Southern Iceland

We got to see LOT of fabulous sights today!! Even though we had some bad weather (high winds and rain at black sand beach) it was totally worth it. Alex was an awesome guide and driver! Our only glitch was getting to the pickup place. We were given the stop that was to be closest to our hotel, but we had to pay $60 for a taxi to get there! Not walkable! I contacted the company when we got to Iceland and saw how far away it was but got no response. Alex was great about dropping us off close to our hotel. (I didn’t know earlier how far away it was. But did give our hotel’s name and address.).

Dancing in the dark

This amazing lava tube is a fascinating look at underground Iceland. Bring your coat , gloves and sturdy shoes. And don’t be afraid of the dark! The provided helmets with headlights and walking sticks are a must. Our amazing guide Francesca taught us the tunnels secrets while dancing to the neon lights. Highly recommend!

Top-notch experience

Extremely organized and well-run tour. All details are managed; for example, they have gear you can borrow to stay warm and dry. I particularly appreciated a crew member coming around before we left the dock, explaining how rough the seas were going to be and encouraging us to take the complimentary seasickness meds. I never have issues but the one-on-one discussion changed my mind. Thank you! That crew member likely saved our experience. The seas were very rough and I felt great. And the best part: We were able to observe 3 humpbacks for a good amount of time. Incredible experience!

Definitely worth the full day

The sites are gorgeous, and the waterfall is surprisingly grand. You will want an extra layer when visiting the waterfall. The Blue Lagoon is just as beautiful and the photos. Our guide (Mika) was knowledgeable and kept us on schedule to maximize our time at the Blue Lagoon.

A fantastic tour!

The tour operator sent us a text the night before and suggested we add on the Secret Lagoon. It was an incredible suggestion! Our guide Sunni was amazing - funny, full of great information, talkative at the right time and quiet at the right time. And the driver Tomak did an incredible job as well. 5 of 5 stars would 💯 recommend!

A totally unique experience, the whole family loved it!

We decided to spring for the premium ticket option for the Lava Show, and it was absolutely worth it. The pre and post show experiences added a ton of value, and we even walked away with a really nice gift at the end! It is incredible to feel the heat and see real molten lava up close. Our host during the show mentioned that she was new, but you never would have known, she did a fantastic job explaining the characteristics of the lava and exactly how it interacts with the environment. The whole family had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the entire experience. Definitely a must-do if you are spending time in Reykjavik!
