Depart your central Reykjavik hotel or Reykjavik cruise port by air-conditioned coach and venture into Iceland’s starkly beautiful interior of rugged peaks, pastures and volcanic plains.
Take in panoramic views of the plant that harnesses the area’s natural propensity for generating power, and hear how it produces renewable energy for more than half of Reykjavik's population.
Continue from here along the famous Golden Circle, the sightseeing route that showcases three of Iceland’s most spectacular natural wonders.
Stop by at Thingvellir National Park, a region of untouched beauty steeped in ancient history. Learn how it’s home to the original, outdoor site of Iceland’s first parliamentary assembly, the Althingi, that began in 930, and see the extraordinary Thingvellir rift, where the tectonic plates of America and Eurasia face each other over a narrow valley.
Snap photos as your guide explains how the plates are gradually pulling apart, and then continue to the Gullfoss waterfall. Marvel at the double-tiered falls and, with luck, catch sight of one of the famous rainbows that forms in the mists.
Next, visit the incredible geothermal region of Geysir, known for its hot springs and geysers. Take in the bubbling pools and steam vents, and see Strokkur, a waterspout that shoots to around 98 feet (30 meters) in the air.
Your tour then ends back at the original start point in Reykjavik.

A lot of driving and weather can be very temperamental. Pouring for 10 minutes then sunny and back to rain so be prepared for all eventualities!
Our guide was excellent and provided an informative and interesting running commentary on the way to the three sites.

Our tour guide provided excellent information about Icelandic history, culture and language, which we really appreciated. The actual tour stops might have been a bit too short but we were able to see everything on the tour and understood that we were on the abbreviated one. Great way to see parts of Iceland when you do not have much time!

You get to see a lot of Iceland on this tour. Travel is comfortable, and the walks are easy. A great tour, and good duration, not too long, but enough time to see a lot. I enjoyed it very much.

I could not make the trip not due to fire tour, but due to Norwegian Cruise Line however, Voyager would not refund me the money I paid for the trip even though it was not my fault

This tour has nice stops but it is a lot of driving to get to each one. The guide Mary Ann was very informative and gave us insight into the everyday lives of Icelanders.

Excellent tour with Marianne C and driver Bartak. Marianne was very informative about all the places. We had a glorious warm day with lots of sunshine. You can get quite close to geysers and waterfalls and the views were amazing. I could have stayed a little longer at each stop to enjoy the shops a little more. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic day.

It is a long day, about 7 hours but with frequent comfort stops. The guide shared a great deal of geological info and if that doesnt interest you, this is not for you.

Such a great tour. Viator service with motorcoach pickup, convenient parking at each stop, tour guide had such a passion for the country and was so knowledgeable. She had a real passion for the history of Iceland. Could have listened to her more.

Very informative. Our guide was amazing! She was caring, well informed, and had a good sense of humor. She spoke throughout the tour - while also driving - about the history, language, geological features, and culture of Iceland. The bus ride was comfortable. Gullfoss waterfalls was my favorite — stunning and so worth it. We loved every bit of it. Doing this tour on the first day of our trip was a great idea as it helped us get oriented to the place and its people.

Maggy was a very safe and professional driver. We never felt uncomfortable with him behind the wheel. Richie, our guide was amazing. So much knowledge.
