Bjorn has designed this tour with great thought and care. It is well-paced and so informative! We did this amazing experience with our kids age (6-11). At first our youngest was trepidatious, but Bjorn reassured her and she had a blast. We did this tour some days ago, and all three kids have raved about it fondly every day since then. The fjords themselves are so majestic and mind-blowing, but having someone like Bjorn take you into the geology/history/sociology of the area gives you a next-level appreciation of this magical place. Fantastic guide and experience

This was easily our favorite activity during our stay in Bergen. Simon was a fantastic guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and just fun to spend a few hours with. He shared information about the area, pointed out local birds, and even showed us some jellyfish and crabs. The company provided waterproof gear and also had fleeces and hats available, which we appreciated. The scenery was incredible, and being out on the water was such a unique way to experience the area. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bergen.

Beautiful Views!

The bus ride was long but necessary to be able to experience the fjords. We were extremely fortunate that we experienced this tour in a bright sunny day! The 2 hour boat ride through the fjords was breathtaking. It was on the cooler and windy side if you are going to stand outside but Well worth braving the wind. Absolutely breathtaking scenic views! A very busy but extremely...

A very busy but extremely worthwhile excursion. We were warmly welcomed at the tour office and introduced to Tracey our guide and Linda our driver both of whom were excellent at communicating relevant information each stage of our journey. Both train journeys were comfortable and as we were lucky enough to have good weather we were able to admire and photograph the stunning scenery. The fjord cruise was very comfortable with good viewing areas and all areas were accessible by ramps. The café had a good variety of snacks and hot and cold food. After the cruise we visited the Viking village, listened to a very informative talk on Viking culture and took part in the axe throwing activity. Throughout the day there were several stops for photo opportunities at spectacular waterfalls. Finally we had a relaxing bus trip back to Bergen.

Great Experience

I was a little nervous after reading some reviews, but we were very happy after taking this tour. Yes, you spend some time on a bus, but that should be expected when touring Norway. Our tour took us to some incredible waterfalls, a neat boat building spot, and some other beautiful views. We were all impressed with the tour, the bus and our guide. This was a great experience and I highly recommend it. But please understand, you are in Norway, it may rain, you may have to hike to areas for views, and the bus ride can be longer. This trip was well worth it for my family.

This experience was beautiful - so wonderfully put together by Travel North. Incredibly beautiful sights and an awesome guide. We actually booked this for Saturday, but on our way to Flåm, the road closed due to weather so we were unable to complete the tour - Travel North rerouted us so that we were still able to see a few sights, and then rebooked us for the entire tour today (Sunday). Truly no notes, I highly recommend both this experience and this tour company. They took care of us and put on an amazing tour; thank you.

Great guide and really saw the countryside

Tomas was an amazing guide giving great information about what we were seeing along with his knowledge of Norway and their way of life. He stayed with the group eating with visitors and truly got to know the passengers. He made the trip as it was quite a bit of van travel. Warning if narrow, winding roads bother you, then I would not suggest this tour as it did have quite a bit of that. However, that also let you see the real Norway homes and country roads.

A must do while in Norway! Get out on the water, deep into the fjords and learn about the history and culture of Norway. Beautiful in any weather I’m sure. Our trip was very chilly, with misty clouds, snow, and bright blue skies with sunshine. The rapidly changing skies only added more drama to our views. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather and assume it will be colder on the water.
