Our tour is named "Godafoss Express" it's a round trip shuttle from Akureyri to Godafoss Waterfall. On way back from Godafoss the tour could ends straight to the port or in the close downtown but the most popular choice is to Botanical Garden. This is not far from Downtown and Port with a nice walk in downhill. Other drop off choices (making arrangements with driver) visiting other attractions in Akureyri are available (ZipLine Akureyri, Forrest Lagoon, Aviation Icelandic Museum, Motorcycle Icelandic Museum) entrance tickets are not included. NOTE: For those who are willing to extend 60/90 minutes their visits giving us the time necessary for our shuttle to return back to the botanical garden or to the center (after making arrangements with the driver), we are happy to offer a return to the port with the first available shuttle on place. Definitely recommend

This was a perfect experience. The driver was on time and very informative during our best ride to the Falls. Once we got there, he dropped us off at an easy walking point. Lots to see in the area

I usually don't like big bus tours, but this one was great. Saga Tours did a great job organizing the stops and lenght of each stop and Micheal was a FANTASTIC guide full of information and interesting stories of the history of the area. One of the best days we had in Iceland.

Had the best time with our guide Tota Lee. Sights were beautiful. Waterfall was fave. Provided lunch was a chicken salad sandwich or vegetarian sandwich option. Not my vibe so glad I brought food. Heads up - you have to pay if you want to use the restroom at all the stops. Not a guide or booking or viator problem. Just giving you a heads up. It was about 300 ISK per stop.

Lake Myvatn Day Tour and Godafoss Waterfall from Akureyri Port was amazing. Viggy was an excellent and knowledgeable tourer. Lonny and I highly recommend them. You get to see and experience so many different terrains/panoramas. It was a small group, so it made it even better. Faster loading and unloading. Not to forget that the prices are much better than booking directly from the Cruise.

Fantastic small group tour of Akureyri

Marika (sp?) our bus driver/tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the various sites and Icelandic history in general. She also got us to all of the tour stops before the large tour buses arrived. She managed to keep us one step ahead of the crowds. We loved all of the tour stops especially Earth Lagoon; it was the cherry on top of a very special experience.

Great place to relax in the warm waters

This is a relatively smaller lagoon, but beautiful scenery and clear waters. They have stone tables located through to set your drink of phone on so they won't get wet. They had fun drinks to choose from and a very relaxed atmosphere. My only complaint (if you can call it a complaint) is that the shuttle service to/from the lagoon/city center is rather haphazard. The have a time table on their website, but says they increase frequency during busy times, but they don't say what is considered a busy time and what the frequency may be. We waiting about 20 minutes to get to the lagoon and about 30 to get back. There was a long line to leave and it took 3 shuttles to carry everyone back, but there was only 1 shuttle running, even though a second shuttle actually drove right past us while we were all waiting. We didn't care since we knew we had plenty of time to get back to the ship and we were all still very relaxed from the lagoon and drink.

Godafoss great excursion

Great excursion. Met at the cruise terminal and show to the minibus by our guide Marvin. We were given information on the journey to the falls and then he was happy to answer any questions. After our stop we had coffee and local donut at the hotel that was provided free. Our return journey was same route but again more info from our great guide. A fabulous excursion that we highly recommend. Good job Saga Travel. 👏🏻👏🏻🚢

Beautiful views

Bathroom on this specific bus was not working. Guide was super nice and friendly. Got us back-and-forth on time allowed an hour at the waterfall. Waterfall was amazing. Wish we had had more time to stay there because it takes a good hour to walk and get all the pictures you want. Not a lot of time for a shopping or getting a coffee.

Perfect Blend of History, Scenic Beauty and Relaxing Fun

This tour is the perfect blend of history, natural beauty and relaxing fun. Seeing the rock house museum provided the most informative look at the past that we’ve seen in Iceland and the views were breathtaking. The natural beauty of the Waterfall of the Gods was unmatched. The Forest Lagoon was one of the funnest experiences of our trip. If you’re modest, bring your own larger towel and search for the more private shower stalls. You can book the disabled changing/shower room ahead of time also. The shower room attendants are very militant and insist that you disrobe, drop your towel, etc. The check in and check out was relatively simple for such a large group. We definitely could have spent more time here. The driver dropped some guests at the city center for shopping at the tour’s end. Michel was a kind, informed and fun guide. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Fantastic trip

We had a fantastic trip all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I was a bit concerned about the suits you have to put on as I'm quite a big guy but they had a range of sizes that fitted well im probably a uk 3xl/4xl and fitted fine if anyoneis worried! We did manage to see several different whales and was such a unique opportunity to get so close to these amazing creatures. 10 out of 10 would do it again in a heartbeat. Simple Amazing /Breath taking

Absolutely AMAZING! Traveled on the 10th June 9am. One of the best experiences of the trip. Firstly our guide was amazing, she was so enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about whales, she was a marine biologist so very knowledgeable. We saw puffins and hump back whales including a mother and calf which is apparently pretty rare in iceland. Husavik is a good place to go for whale watching (we did the entire ring road)

It was a great...

It was a great experience, although we only saw the whales from quite far. There was another boat of the same company that departed at the same time as the one I was in, and everyone on board had the impression that the other boat was going much closer to where the whales were. I guess it depends on the captain. It’s a very well organized and safe tour.
