Winter riding at Soldier Hollow Stables is a rare experience—we are one of the few horseback operations that stays open through the winter season, allowing guests to explore Utah’s landscape from the saddle. The crisp mountain air, peaceful trails, and panoramic views create a setting you simply can’t experience most of the year. The horses are seasoned trail partners who are exceptionally well cared for, loved, and thoughtfully matched to each rider. Guests quickly notice their calm personalities and steady confidence, making the ride enjoyable for beginners and experienced riders alike. Equally important are the guides—personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. They prioritize safety while making the experience fun and memorable. They love sharing their passion for horses, helping every guest feel welcome and comfortable. The result is a winter experience that feels peaceful, authentic, and uniquely Utah.
