The ride was very smooth. The host and hostess were great. Didn’t hear as much info as we were expecting but still had a great time. Cheese was very good and the wine was good but was expecting vodka or gin. Overall we would go again if we had the same crew.

Excellent experience with Kevin and Isabella! Just the right amount of time on the canals and bottomless Heinekens or any variety of wine, soft drinks and water. Oh and the Gouda cheese! Tasty and plentiful. Would absolutely recommend booking this canal tour as soon as you hit the streets of Amsterdam.

Great trip, about an hours ride around the canals passing points of interest. Definitely learned more about Amsterdam and hosts were great with commentary and filling up the glasses with wine. Cheese was great addition too! Baring in mind how much drink costs in Amsterdam, we definitely got our moneys worth in drinks alone. Would recommend and would do again, especially with this company as fun and professional.

Itinerary

Make your way to the centrally located meeting point, hop aboard a classic wooden saloon boat, and settle in for a relaxing journey through Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canals. If you've upgraded, your guide will hand you a platter full of Dutch cheese paired with mustard, to nibble on during the ride, plus unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Your cruise begins by gliding along the Prinsengracht, past landmarks such as the Anne Frank House (Anne Frank Huis), before continuing down the Bloemgracht, Amstel, Herengracht, Singel, and Keizersgracht. Take in sights along the way of key attractions such as as De 9 Straatjes, Rijksmuseum, Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug), and Bloemenmarkt. Your guide points out each landmark, and fills you in on its history.

After soaking up Amsterdam from the water, end back at the starting point, ready to explore further on dry land on your own time.

The boat had a roof, which was nice do to light rain, but still had excellent views. The hosts were very friendly and informative. The cheese tray was generous and plenty of drink options. The boat driver was very skilled in the busy canals.

We had a great time on this canal tour, the tour guide was fabulous and funny and our wine was constantly topped up! Really relaxing after a long day of sightseeing! My only comment is the boat didnt look as luxurious as the photos, there were no cushions or nicely laid tables just basic seating. We travelled with our 9 year old daughter who loved the cheese and many thanks for topping her up!

Sofia was a fantastic and made us laugh non stop. The drinks and cheese were continuous. I’ve been on a canal tour before and each guide makes it a different experience. Next time we’re in Amsterdam I would definitely go again. You learn something new each time.

We weren't sure what to expect of this, but so pleased we booked it! It is only an hour, but the information shared was interesting and not what we'd heard on other tours - a light hearted insight into Amsterdam. Would definitely recommend the drinks options - free flowing wine, so worked out by far the cheapest drinks we had on the trip!

What a great experience! The team were absolutely great from the moment you board to the moment you leave! The cheese and unlimited drinks is well worth the price and they top you up immediately once your glass is nearly empty. The tour guide was brilliant with great historical knowledge and kept the crowd entertained with his hilarious stories. Would highly recommend!

The arrival to the docks was very unorganized. We were told to get in a long line to wait for the boat then when got to the front, we were told to go to the back of the line because we will get the next boat. It would be helpful to have lines marked for time of your departure time. Once on, the two young girls were lovely hostesses. They told interesting stories and gave great history. An hour is too quick, wish it was longer. Highly recommend seeing the city by canal.

Disappointed, not as advertised

Was disappointed. The itinerary listed was not what we received. There were two choices for pick up locations. We chose the location that was walkable from our hotel. It was a different itinerary. The company should list the itinerary for each location. So we did not see the Anne Frank house, the Rijksmuseum, the seven bridge point, or most of the other things listed. What we saw was basically what we had seen on our walks. The pickup location we used was the one by the central train station. The advertisement did say the itinerary may be a little different from each location, however it wasn’t even close. On a positive note, the boat was nice and clean. The captain and tour guide were excellent. I would have given 5 stars if what we saw was what I wanted/expected.
