Understanding a dream of a King

Neuschwanstein Castle has become one of the most recognisable castles in the world. Its towers, mountain setting and romantic silhouette have captured the heart of the great Walt Disney himself. This UNESCO World Heritage site continues to stand high above the Bavarian mountains, reminding us that sometimes the most extraordinary legacies are left behind by people who never quite belonged to their own time. The Linderhoff palace was Ludwig's personal retreat and showcased luxury, and his creativity . Ms. Franciska, the guide mixed humor with her rich knowledge and had a pleasant way to deliver the information. Mr. Basking behind the wheel was excellent in weaving the tour through the chaotic traffic.

We had a wonderful experience on the full day VIP Daytrip Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Grotto from Munich. The tour bus was very comfortable and provided an easy way to see the Bavarian forests and explore the picturesque palace and castles. It was helpful that the tour included snacks and beverages for the ride since it is a long day. One of the highlights of this tour was the visit to the Venus Grotto on the grounds of the Linderhof Palace where we experienced the colorful effects of lights and reflections on the water. During our stop at Neuschwanstein Castle, we felt that we had plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely lunch and make the trek up the hill to the castle for the scheduled tour time. The walk up the hill from the commercial area to Neuschwanstein Castle takes visitors along a beautiful, though steep road through the forest, but there are also options to ride most of the way in horse-drawn carriages or shuttle buses. It is important for visitors to know that the options to ride up the hill require cash payment in Euros. Our tour guide Marcus was very congenial and knowledgeable. He explained what we saw as we drove through the hills from Munich and provided stories about the history of the landmark sites and the people that constructed them. He handled all the tour tickets and both he and his assistant looked out for the welfare of the group at each stop.

Boat tour on the Spree: simply great!

We participated in the boat tour on the Spree today with our family and friends. The tour is really great, you see the central sights in the center of Berlin, the boat is very comfortable, and the roof can be opened and closed as needed. Very relaxed. However, we liked Andreas's tips and explanations best. He accompanied the tour and conveyed highly interesting details, always with a little wink. He found the right mix of information and entertainment and connected factual information with current developments. And all of that in parallel, always in German and English. Truly excellent and we can highly recommend the tour. As soon as we have visitors in Berlin again, we will take the tour again right away. Nowadays it is no longer common for tour guides to be so personal and informative, something completely different than when information on tours is played from a recording. We say see you soon and thanks again, Andreas!

We got engaged!

We had an amazing day on this tour. Dimitri suggested an alternative overlook for Neuschwanstein that was beautiful. It was so lovely and private enough my partner decided to propose and we got engaged! We were glad we toured the inside of both castles, they were really amazing. Our driver was also great and got us everywhere safely.

A day of Castles

Julia picked us up promptly at 8:30 and we were off to see the Castles. It was nice having someone drive us that knows the area well. The tours are very timely and well done by the staff at the castles and we felt like having our guide showing us where to go and how things worked was a big plus. Overall a great experience.
