We had a wonderful experience on the full day VIP Daytrip Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Grotto from Munich. The tour bus was very comfortable and provided an easy way to see the Bavarian forests and explore the picturesque palace and castles. It was helpful that the tour included snacks and beverages for the ride since it is a long day. One of the highlights of this tour was the visit to the Venus Grotto on the grounds of the Linderhof Palace where we experienced the colorful effects of lights and reflections on the water. During our stop at Neuschwanstein Castle, we felt that we had plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely lunch and make the trek up the hill to the castle for the scheduled tour time. The walk up the hill from the commercial area to Neuschwanstein Castle takes visitors along a beautiful, though steep road through the forest, but there are also options to ride most of the way in horse-drawn carriages or shuttle buses. It is important for visitors to know that the options to ride up the hill require cash payment in Euros. Our tour guide Marcus was very congenial and knowledgeable. He explained what we saw as we drove through the hills from Munich and provided stories about the history of the landmark sites and the people that constructed them. He handled all the tour tickets and both he and his assistant looked out for the welfare of the group at each stop.

A wonderful day exploring the basics of Salzburg with Lucia, our tour guide. She masterfully managed our group from the tour office in Munich, to the train, to the city of Salzburg, providing interesting information and answering questions along the way. It was a wonderful way to get a brief introduction of the city and overall a great way to spend the day. Along with the knowledgeable tour came time on our own to explore the old town and a solid plan to meet and return to Munich.

Truly a VIP experience and well worth it!

So first off, understand that the German government provides the tour guides and controls the tours of Castle Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Palace. This is not the tour company's fault and there is nothing they can do about it. That being said, this tour is VERY worth it! From the small group, to the VIP bus with plenty of snacks, water and coffee, and a bathroom, to the amazing tour guide Faizan and driver (sorry I forgot his name) providing a lot of extra information and guidance along the way, this was a wonderful day. Faizan helped navigate the group through the crowded nightmare of getting to Castle Neuschwanstein (IYKYK), set us up to have a wonderful lunch, showed us important and beautiful sights between tours, and did an outstanding job overall providing relevant information and answering questions. Our driver (apologies again) masterfully navigated the small roads with the bus and provided a smooth and easy trip. This tour is highly recommended if you want to get the most out of visiting Castle Neuschwanstein and Palace Linderhof.

MUST have a guide for this tour - VERY informative

Although it was a heavy subject, Ian did a great job keeping us engaged and moving. He’s essentially a historian on the subject! I’m so glad I did a guided tour and not a solo visit. I learned so much, albeit very grim and sad. Ian, tell your mama you have fans in the travel world!

Enjoyed Bavaria and Ludwig II History

It was a wonderful tour. Our guide gave us a lot of historical information about the castles and the area we were traveling through. I know the tour had no control over the time spent in the castles … I felt a bit rushed going through the rooms. However, the tour could figure a way to give us time to purchase a souvenir. Luckily, I was able to get a few things in Munich but I prefer to support the local shops.

This is a very informative tour and I recommend it for a true history buff. Our guide was wonderful! The tour company was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our international flight was cancelled last minute which caused us to miss our tour on our initial tour date. I emailed them as soon as I received the cancelled flight notification. They were so nice to move my tour to the next day and I did not miss this wonderful tour!

Great way to learn about the city

This is a very nice boat trip through the city. It was my first time in Berlin and it gave me a great overview of the city. You get to see many of the sites and learn some fun facts. The tour gave me a better idea of what else I wanted to see in the city. The ride is comfortable and there are drinks to purchase on board. At just an hour I feel like it’s a great option to introduce yourself to the city.

We got engaged!

We had an amazing day on this tour. Dimitri suggested an alternative overlook for Neuschwanstein that was beautiful. It was so lovely and private enough my partner decided to propose and we got engaged! We were glad we toured the inside of both castles, they were really amazing. A Tour Worth Your Time

This tour was a great way to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. Fast access to the castle plus our very good guide Leon led with precision and humor. We took the shuttle bus up to the castle and Mary's bridge (it was one hell of a climb) and chose to walk down to meet our group at the end of the tour but didn't realize the trip down took 45 minutes. We descended in record time. The views from the castle were spectacular and the history of the castle was intriguing. All in all, this tour was worth the money, and we had a wonderful time.

Amazing Way to Explore Munich!

My fiancé and I had a lovely time trying all the food and exploring Munich. Yasmina was a fantastic guide! She told us about the city and gave us some history insights which was an absolute win for my fiancé since he loves to learn about that.
