What are people saying about Freedom Trail

Informative Tour
This turned out being a private tour for us which was a bonus. Allen answered all of our questions and took his time . The Freedom Trail component was informative and thorough. It was nice to include Beacon Hill to see the homes and learn who lived there. Boston Common and Public Gardens were included as well. History of Back Bay was remarkable.

Book this tour! Christian is a superb guide!
This private tour with Christian was fantastic! He asks what you are most interested in seeing and takes it from there. He's professional, personable and has extensive knowledge of Boston. We so enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed! I think the stop at Fenway Park was our favorite! These Texans thank you, Christian, for a wonderful tour of your beautiful city.

Great option to get an overview of the highlights of the history of the city
The virtual tour guide is knowledgable, witty and interesting. I found this tour to be a great way to explore the city’s history on your own terms and at your own pace.

  • Freedom Trail tickets for public walking tours purchased online must be printed.

  • The Black Heritage Trail, featuring sites significant to African American history, intersects the Freedom Trail at the monument to the 54th Regiment on Beacon Street.

  • Most choose to walk from site to site rather than drive. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes.

  • Though the Freedom Trail itself doesn’t charge admission, fees are required to enter some of the designated stops: the Old State House, the Old South Meeting House, and the Paul Revere House.

  • Self-guided audio tours are available for purchase at the Boston Common Visitor Center.

  • While the Freedom Trail is wheelchair-accessible, some of the sites are not.

  • It’s best to allot at least 30 minutes inside each Freedom Trail site.
