Our tour guide was informative and passionate. She encouraged questions. We went first thing in the morning, which allowed our group to be the first in Doge’s Palace. St. Mark’s had an event so we were unable to enter, but we weee reimbursed a small amount. Lovely morning!

Alice was very knowledgeable and friendly. This tour gives you free time to explore the islands if you don't want to learn more about the glass shop and the lace technique. If you are traveling with with your partner this tour is an absolute must! The islands are so romantic. We loved it.

Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Alessia is very good at her job, it was fascinating to find out more about Venice life from a local. Burano is beautiful, our time was short there, only 1 hour, I would not mind staying and exploring a bit longer. Murano glassmaking was interesting too, one of a kind experience! Shout out to our captain Maximo( hope I am spelling it right) for a smooth ride and great docking. Reminded me of parking on a busy NYC street while fighting for your spot!

Lucy provided an informative tour of the Doge's Palace. As we moved through the palace, she shared the history of Venice and pointed out important pieces of art like she was telling a friend a story. In St. Mark's Basilica she was able to navigate the tour group to the perfect spots to see the splendor of the basilica. She was one of the best guides we had during our two weeks of travel.

A must for a loving couple.

Rona was such a GREAT guide ! Explaining a lot of little story of the city and getting you to stunning uncommun and unknown spot !! The Gondala ride was on point, nothing hidden !!! I recommand the tour early in the morning ... between 9h and 10h PM. Less people and the city "stink" less (you'll understand). At the end of your tour, ask your guide for a real Venezia lunch spot... the spot we chosen was AMAZING for the food and Venezian vibe.

Wonderful tour, friendly and informative guide

Wonderful tour - our guide was friendly and informative. The pace was good as we got to see the Doge’s Palace and St. Marks Basilica. We had a nice coffee break in between. Then we had about an hour break before our gondola ride which was a bucket list item for us!

Great tour!

This was a great excursion. We had the best guide we could have ever hoped for. His name was Marco. We followed him thru the streets on a walking tour and he explained everything on the way. It was a lot of walking so be prepared with comfortable shoes. The Doge and Basilica were just beautiful inside. The gondola ride was a lot of fun. With the tour, you just skip the line and go right in which was nice. These places are very crowded so if you aren’t doing a tour, you will be waiting in line for a long time.

Very fun and educational not to mention DELICIOUS! Barbara and Martha were exceptional instructors and so personable! They’re great ambassadors for Viking and just genuinely delightful ladies! Barbara also went above and beyond to speak to our car service and arrange a private water taxi to deliver us and our luggage to the car park so we could get to our ship on time. Genuinely delightful and caring! Highly recommend this experience! So very organized and such a wonderful set up!

We had a great experience on our St. Mark’s Basilica tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job explaining the history and significance of the basilica. The tour was well organized, informative, and kept us engaged throughout. St. Mark’s Basilica is absolutely beautiful, and having a guide helped us appreciate the details and history that we probably would have missed on our own. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Venice!

Great food and local wine YUM

We had a wonderful time with our guide Sara. She provided us with a variety of Italian food that was delicious and was accompanied by wine from the region. I was surprised that none of it was pizza or tomato based pasta but all of it was super delicious. Highly recommend the tour.
