Itinerary
Start your walking tour of Venice in the morning or afternoon. Meet at a central location and set off with a small group limited to 15 people. Alternatively, select a private tour exclusively for you and your party. Your guide is a well-informed local who provides insight into the former maritime republic.
Stroll the pedestrianized streets to historical areas and particular districts that include Rialto, San Marco, and Cannaregio. Cross charming footbridges that connect some hundreds of small islands that comprise Venice, including the Rialto Bridge. Get a look at the surrounding area, once the financial and trade center of Venice, and walk past Marco Polo's house; where one of the world's most famous travelers was born.
See Campo Santa Margherita and the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, where the 16th-century Italian painter Titian is buried. Upon crossing Campo San Bartolomeo see the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo, the resting place of many Venice doges, or leaders, of the city-state. See the Scuola Grande di San Rocco and finish at St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco).
Your guide can offer recommendations on where to eat and how to spend your free time in Venice.

Jada was a great guide. This tour was a great way to learn about the city. I highly recommend booking this tour.

The guide never showed up, so I don't know if the tour would have been good or not. I have time-stamped pictures of the meeting place that show I was there.
Mark_J, May 2026
The meeting place was changed and we were not notified. We were at the meeting point given to us, and met others there. One of them received a text after the starting time indicating a new meeting place so we followed and made the tour. Very unorganized.

We learned a lot about Venice from a very knowledgeable guide! Glad we booked this tour to understand more about this beautiful city!

Honestly you could probably skip the tour and wander Venice at your leisure. There were some interesting tidbits shared by the guide but it felt more like a 2 hour foot race.

Really interesting tour, excellent guide (Alice)
Learned a lot about Venice and its history in a couple of hours!

Excellent introduction tour to Venice. Our guide was very informative and had some great restaurant recommendations. Definitely recommend this tour.

Alice was amazing, it’s a good way to understand history and gain different perspectives of Venice. Covers all major spots within the island

It was was an excellent way to learn about the city of Venice! Flavia was very knowledgeable and friendly, it was a great experience.
We referenced a lot of what we had learnt throughout the rest of our stay in Venice.
Thank you very much!

Great walking tour to see different areas of the city starting in the university area, moving through San Paolo, and ending in the most famous San Marco’s square. I took the tour during my first full day and really enjoyed learning more about the history of Venice on the tour. Alice was a fantastic tour guide, and she was friendly, kind, and informative answering all our questions and giving recommendations. We had three people in our group which gave the tour a great personal feel. Highly recommend this tour!

It was small and very informative! It was great seeing a combination of touristy and non-touristy spots.

Gianmarco was an amazing guide. Local knowledge and provided a great lay of the land to get your bearings on the city. The tour helped set me up to enjoy the palazzo and other sites even more.

Dropped the luggage off at the hotel and wondered around until our tour started. It was a great way get introduced to Venice.

Valentina was not only very knowledgeable but also friendly, witty, and above all, patient. She really took the time to get to know all nine of us on the tour (and answered all our questions!), while providing us with lots of fun facts and insights into Venice’s history, geography, and culture, as we weaved our way down streets and alleys, across squares (fields), and over bridges. A great way to spend two-plus hours that takes you beyond seeing just the “must see” landmarks!

Very informative walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question the group asked! You do go up and down many stairs, but that is to be expected in Venice.
Michelle_H, Oct 2025
Julia was an excellent guide. She is a native Venetian. She shared many interesting facts. I appreciate that the tour took a less crowded path. The starting place was odd. The colorful wall with art is really your only indication that you are in the right place.
I like history and facts. Very straightforward. I can’t say that I was wowed, but it was of decent value for the price.
This is not the tour if you want to be entertained. I think children would be extremely bored.

What a wonderful fun time we had on this walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, answered questions thoroughly & with patience - and was a joy to learn from. Not only was his tour great but he mentioned an excellent restaurant (Enoteca Al Volto) in Venice. So, we tried it. It was the BEST meal we’ve had in Italy - filled with what seemed to be only locals! Thank you!

Excellent introduction to
Venice strolling through
its historic lanes,
bridges and squares.
Flavia, our guide,
was wonderful.

Valentina was quite lovely. She was welcoming, very knowledgeable and made it fun. She made sure the group was acquainted with each other before we began and was thoughtful enough to get a picture of our group at the end for a souvenir. We wry much enjoyed her tour and would highly recommend her.
Paul_P, Sept 2025
Excellent guide & great day out. Walking tour was approx 2.5 hours. Guide offered advice, practical tips, interesting anecdotes and insight into Venice’s modern day beauty and its colourful past. Would highly recommend, even the rain.
Jessica_H, Sept 2025
Overall positive experience. Great overview of the area for a reasonable price. It was nice not having to worry about getting lost and just getting to follow someone around.
kim_r, Sept 2025
Flavvia was excellent. She gave lots of good information and didn’t deluge us with dates we wouldn’t remember later. Good illustrative pictures to help explain her points. Open for all questions
Janet_W, Sept 2025
Non-stop, walk thru the city. Few opportunities to snap a picture (you will fall scarily behind). Don’t expect a rest or comfort stop—no opportunity to grab a coffee or soda on a hot, humid day.
Jenny_I, Sept 2025
Our tour guide, Valentina, was amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. She took us to many places we otherwise would never have found - or even known to look for. Her knowledge of Venice is extensive and for this reason she made the tour very interesting. She is very friendly and fun! I would highly recommend taking this tour soon after arriving to Venice. Thank you Valentina for providing us with a memorable time in Venice!
Matthew_B, Sept 2025
Excellent tour! Anna took us to parts of the city we would not seen on our own and provided a lot of information!
michael_f, Sept 2025
Our guide seemed rushed; she spoke too quickly, didn’t invite questions, and didn’t allow for guests to stop and appreciate the points of interest.
Our family members were on the same tour with another guide and they finished their tour at least 45 minutes after us.
Nancy_S, Aug 2025
Very good guide, spoke English well. Although it was very hot, she kept us in the shade and the walk was a steady but doable pace. Climbed quite a few bridges (very Venice) so if stairs aren’t your friend, a little tough.
Kendra_A, Jul 2025
This was a great tour through areas I would not have seen if I wasn’t on the tour. Julia was amazing!
MichaelD, Jun 2025
Valentina was a lovely guide and did a great job keeping us in the shade on a HOT day. We got to see some of the quieter canals and bridges which was nice, but still ended in the city center.
