Do this first and jumpstart your understanding of Roman culture and the food.
There’s no better way to get to know a culture and a place than to explore its food. The history, stories and legends were such a highlight of our visit to Rome. Gabriella was our guide. We loved her stories and tips. The food was incredible and our group was a lot of fun. The walking part wasn’t too challenging for anyone who might be concerned. I wish we’d done this first when we arrived! We learned so much.

The most unique and iconic way to see Rome!!
What an unbelievably unique and amazing experience touring Rome! I was traveling solo and had Simone as my guide. There were also two girls on the tour in another vintage Fiat with Luca, and we all had such a blast!! Simone and Luca are the best guides you could ask for-- they're both so funny, super knowledgeable about Rome and its history, and they're so much fun!! We saw all of the sights (I feel like we covered all of Rome!), all while making some stops along the way for non-tourist gelato and snacks! In addition, they are amazing photographers and took so much time, care, and attention to stop at the best photo locations (including in and with the cars!). I CANNOT recommend this tour enough, seriously, book this!!

Overview of Ancient Rome and a fine dining evening experience
Nickoli our guide was most knowledgeable; his driver was very smooth in our transitions around town. Made this tour really easy. Nickoli's recommendation for an evening dinner after the tour at Checco Er Carettiere restaurant was really enjoyable. TRilussa Square just around the corner was an entertaining spot loaded with street performers. Certainly worth the taxi ride form our hotel.

Great Day In Rome
Great day in Rome with awesome tour guide Ricardo. He was still able to get us to all the important spots despite having to navigate around the marathon. Ricardo was so passionate about this city and showed in the awesome tour. Highly recommend this tour!!

While Rome isn’t perched on the Mediterranean like Genoa or Naples, it’s just 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the Tyrrhenian Sea, where you’ll find Civitavecchia, the main port for cruise ships with the Italian capital on their itinerary. This charming port town offers a scenic gateway to Rome, perfect for cruise passengers arriving by sea or travelers in Rome looking for a seaside escape. Rome shore excursions provide a seamless and scenic way to journey between the capital and the coast.
