Great tour with knowledgeable guide
Our guide Riccardo was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting, even for our children.. It’s definitely worth booking a tour with an archeologist. It was easy to buy our entry tickets in advance aa required and everything was timely and ran smoothly.

Exceed expectations
Perfect amout of time and information about Pompeii. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a fantastic sense of humor. We were not overly excited about touring the space, but he made it a truly memorable experience. Grazie mille, alla prossima 🇮🇹❤️

Excellent tour!
Michaela is a wonderful guide. She taught us so much about Pompeii and Herculaneum and did it with humor and insight. Her depth of knowledge is impressive, but the experience was never stuffy or dry! The logistics worked very well - from meeting the driver at the port to our return to the cruise terminal in plenty of time. One thing to be aware of is that the “small group tour” can have up to 18 or so people. However, Michaela handled the group well and I certainly felt that any questions were answered and we all got plenty of attention.

Great choice, consider that it is a challenging walk
Anna gave us an amazing tour! A dream to see and learn about this part of the ruins. 100% good choice to start your visit. 2 things Important to know This is a very challenging walk for those with mobility and endurance issues. The guides were very kind and accommodating providing a chair for our elder to rest at stops towards the end. But not easy. Second, make sure you know how to get back to an exit with transportation from the end point of the tour. We encountered about 10 of of the 25 people from our tour trying to find an exit up and down the streets after the tour. We walked for about an extra hour before finding help.

Pompeii is the crown jewel of Italy’s archaeological treasure trove, but this ancient site is sprawling and offers little posted information explaining its jumble of ruins. Pompeii tours bring the history of the Roman city to life with archaeologist guides who provide insights about its excavated art and architecture, focusing on the highlights to cover the site in just a few hours. Pair Pompeii with a guided visit to nearby Herculaneum, a wine-tasting lunch in the surrounding vineyards, a hike to the volcanic crater atop Mt. Vesuvius, or a scenic excursion along the Amalfi Coast for an unforgettable day trip.
