Pompeii Perfection!

Friendly, Patient and Knowledgeable

Antonino was the best experience we had on our visit to Naples. He picked us right up from our hotel and gave us a knowledgeable tour of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. My wife is not the history buff that I am so he took care to not overdo it. I can honestly say we would not have had as easy and enjoyable of time if it wasn’t for him. I would recommend Antonino to anyone wanting the full archeological tour experience. He even dropped us off at the port afterwards so we could board our ferry to the next adventure.

Best tour ever!

Thus company was amazing! I can’t recommend them enough. Sofia took care of all our communications. A driver ( Ruslan) picked us up at the train station and took us to Pompaii. He was our driver all day and he was wonderful. At Pompeii Francesca was waiting for us and what a tour we got, amazing! We then went for a winery tasting lunch which was so lovely. Don’t think twice book this tour, just book it.

Unforgettable

Excellent trip & guide. Luca was knowledgeable, accomodating, and fun to travel with. Vans were beautiful and comfortable, with great music. We took a scenic drive before arriving at Pompeii, and made stops for a light pastry breakfast and lemon slush (I think the Italians call it lemon granita) along with some limoncello. It was delicious. The tour of Pompeii was unforgettable, and we were paired with a hilarious, expert guide at the archeological site. We were blessed to be a small group, arriving on what began as a rainy morning, that cleared up nicely. For lunch, Luca brought us to a pizza place, for what was quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I've taken many tours- this was one of the best!

There are 3 ways to tour Pompei - by yourself with a map, with a large group tour or with a private tour guide who is passionate about Pompei. Do the private tour! You learn so much more about daily life in Pompei. You can ask questions, see the little details amongst the grand ruins like children's drawings on walls and understand how this community worked before the fateful day. Our guide Alona had exceptional knowledge, was informative, kind and very passionate about Pompei. She was excited about our tour and we had a fantastic 3 hours with her and saw everything we wanted to see and more.

Good tour

This is a very exertional hike up Mt Vesuvius and the uneven ground in both locations are challenging for anyone with mobility issues. However, it was great day, the archaeologist was very informative and the hiking guide very cautious and attentive. It was basically like two different tours and after the archaeologist left us in the ruins area, we had to find our way back to the front, try to find food and restrooms on our own before meeting the afternoon hike guide.

Favorite tour guide

My first booking with aviator but definitely not my last. Eliana Sandretti was our guide. A Manager at Pompeii and archeologist. I’ve been to 30 countries and had several dozen tours but no guide has been as knowledgeable and been so direct with answers. She seemed interested in giving us the information we wanted to hear and since Pompeii is so incredible and we only had three hours she knew we didn’t have time for personal anecdotes (perfectly ok for other tours). And she went over the time and walked us to our train and then shared some personal history when we asked questions. I can’t remember a more informed and generous guide with a nicer disposition than Eliana.

Alexandra was a fantastic tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, engaging and there was a good bit of humour too. Thank yiu Alexandra! It was good to be able to stay on the park for longer than the 2 hour tour as well. Really needs a full day at least to see everything. Fascinating place.
