Don’t skip the tour.

Stand with the Gladiators

It was a long walk from our check in point to the entry point. Since I walk with a cane we did get left behind but we're able to catch up at the entry to Palatine Hill. Our guide was a wealth of information and stories and she helped what we were viewing come alive. As a retired history teacher, I strongly recommend a guided tour like this one over trying to do it on your own. She kept us focused on what was in front of us and was able to answer all our questions.

Entertaining day out, beautiful scenery, delicious lunch and wine. The Douro Valley is stunning and the boat trip took us to the heart of the most beautiful scenery. Our guide was very knowledgeable ( also a great singer) and informative, as were the guides at both vineyards. Great safe driver too!

Highly recommend. Our tour guide, Joya, was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient in the way she steered the group through the entry process and crowds. We learned so much, and she was a wonderful teacher. This was a wonderful tour - plus I can't imagine trying to navigate visiting on our own.

So much to see!

The Vatican is so big with so much to see and so many people! We were so happy to have a guide with knowledge of what we were seeing plus the knowledge/ability to quickly navigate the crowds and buildings. Since the announcement that the Pope is sick came just days before our visit, the entrance took extra long and there was a bit more chaos. Christian, our guide, navigated it very well. He did his best to keep us moving. Typically it takes the tour 5-10 minutes to get through security but today it took us nearly 40 minutes. We would have given up without the guide!

Must-do tour while in Rome

Having a guided tour was the best way for us to see the Colossium and to learn about its history. Alessandra was our guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and also very thoughtful about making sure each member of our group had an enjoyable time. With so much to see and such an immersive experience, it was helpful to have someone curate on our behalf.

Absolutely, hands down a...

Absolutely, hands down a fabulous experience. This was our second time but on the later on to see the lights at night. Needless to say it was so perfect! Atmosphere was off the charts and food and service expert level! Music complimented the whole evening. Will be back next year!

Rosa was a great tour guide!! She was very informative and funny. The Academy Gallery was very cool. Of course the star is Michelangelo’s Statue of David, but there are many other beautiful pieces of art and sculptures. Well worth buying our tour tickets in advance thru Viature. The lines for people to get ticket was humongous. With the train strike on the day we went the Gallery was going to shut down at 1:00. I bet many of the people that were in line didn’t even get tickets to get in before it closed early. ( Even though they had been in line for hours)

Aside from the surreal...

Aside from the surreal makeup and history of the cathedral itself, our tour guide Tony was knowledgeable, friendly and kept to a tight schedule to ensure we were able to see all the attraction had to offer. What an amazing excursion, highly recommend. We didn’t want to leave!

Incredible Tour!

Our guide was incredible; he was hilarious & attentive to needs of each person. His depth of knowledge & passion for the history/culture was infectious. I could have listened to him talk about the architecture & true history all day! I thought I knew a fair amount about the history before but he gave me a whole new perspective. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour again & will book it again next time I’m here.
