Walking Through 2,000 Years of History. An Unforgettable Roman Experience!

What an incredible way to experience ancient Rome! Our tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill was absolutely fascinating and easily one of the highlights of our time in Rome. Walking into the Colosseum and actually standing inside a place we have seen in pictures our entire lives was surreal. Our guide did a wonderful job bringing the history to life and explaining what the Colosseum would have looked and felt like thousands of years ago. I especially loved exploring the Roman Forum. Walking along the same streets where ancient Romans lived, worshipped, and conducted the business of the Roman Empire made history feel real in a completely different way. Palatine Hill was beautiful as well, with incredible ruins and views over the Forum. There is a lot of walking, uneven ground, and stairs, so definitely wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a workout! But it is absolutely worth it. Rome has so many beautiful places, but being surrounded by this much history was something I will never forget. If you are visiting Rome for the first time, I would consider this tour a must-do.

Amazing Golf Cart Tour in Rome!

One of the best tours in Rome! Alessandro was great! He shared a ton of history and all the hot spots and it was just so nice to sit back and enjoy the sights! We had flown in that day, so it was a great way to get acquainted with the city, and not get too exhausted walking around that first day. Also, it was great to be picked up in front of our hotel and dropped off there as well. He communicated via text and it was easy peasy! He also set us up at a bar by the Colosseum for a cocktail and aperitivo. On Sept. 23rd our Colosseum tour was canceled due to the tragedy there, and we honestly talked about using that time for another golf cart tour, it was that good!! Do it!!!😊

The David

A nice introduction into the history of Michelangelo and his life. Then his amazing sculptures and finally his masterpiece David! It was incredible and larger than I thought. Our guide was very educational and it was just overall a very fun, interesting experience. Nice too because the Accademia is not very big, so easy to navigate. We also got to see the musical instruments like the Stratavari violin. It was very busy so we were glad we booked a small group skip the line tour!! It’s the only way to go!

great experience with Athen walks tour of Acropolis. We took the hop on bus from cruise terminal ( purchased tickets from there). Bus ride to Acropolis was about 1/2 hour, the meeting point is about a 5 minute walk, look for the Acropolis Metro station. Tour guide was excellent, it is a hike up to the top.

What a wonderful experience this day trip provided! Our guide, Adella, was one of the best we had in Florence! Organized and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Siene tour with local guide was very informative. San Gianigno and Pisa were great to see. The highlight of the day was the included winery visit and lunch. Absolutely stunning location in Tuscany! Thanks Abram for the superb bus driving in the hills! The food and wine were delicious and very filling. A long day but you experience so much- well worth the price.

The Vatican and Sistine chapel - Viator

I have left a review as Viator fully deserves 5 stars. We booked with Viator and the process was seemless. The queues outside were enormous - our queue was not. Our tour guide whipped us through the queue and Straight into the Vatican in less than 10 minutes. We have never had a tour guide and were concerned that a 3 hour tour may be a bit much for us. However - we had a tour guide called Richard who was absolutely brilliant, informative, enthusiastic and kept us fully engaged for the whole tour. I honestly don’t think you could have done this tour with out one. One of the things he did was explained all the inspiration and meanings behind the artwork at the Sistine chapel prior to entering - this made visiting the chapel a lot more meaningful as you understood the history and meanings behind Michelangelos work - as obviously it’s a silent area so without this you wouldn’t really know what what you are looking at or the history behind it unless you have been informed before. All in all well done Viator and well done Richard!! Best excursion of out trip to Rome!

This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. The bus that transported us to the Douro Valley was very comfortable and our wonderful guide, Rita, provided much information and history while we were on board. The wine we tasted and the lunch were fabulous, as was the Rabelo boat tour in Pinhao. There was too much to mention everything. It was a very full day. Rita was the best tour guide ever and Antonio was a great driver! I highly recommend this tour.

Great advantage to have a tour guide rather than just an audio guide provided by the staff. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, able to explain details clearly, and had many pictures to help understand some of concepts of the designs. She clearly enjoyed being able to share this special place with all of us. The company was easy to communicate with before the tour, and sent reminders making sure the meeting place and time to arrive was clearly understood. Highly recommend this tour.
