This was a horrible experience . We paid 230.00 and did not find our group. Layer they said even though they are inside they can’t let us in so we had to buy tickets again.

We arrived 20 mins late due to train delays due to weather. The tour guide first told us to wait to get us in the next group, so we waited an hour and then they told us that they cannot give us the tickets we paid for or give us a refund or even reschedule for a later date.

To clarify what happened on the day: our staff asked you to wait in case there were any no-shows or missing guests from another group, as we sometimes have limited flexibility to accommodate late arrivals in those situations. This is offered purely as a courtesy when space allows and is never guaranteed, as group sizes and timed entries are strictly controlled.
Unfortunately, in this case, the group was complete and already progressing, so we were not able to add additional guests once the tour had departed. As a result, we were also unable to offer a reschedule or refund in line with the tour’s timing policy.
That said, I understand how the initial expectation of being accommodated, followed by the final outcome, would have been frustrating. Your feedback has been shared with our local team so we can ensure communication in these situations is clearer and more consistent going forward.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and regret that your experience did not meet expectations.

We were supposed to have a 10 am tour. But there were repeated delays (while we stood out in 90+ degree heat) and we didn't actually start until nearly 11:30. Not only did we waste time and stand out in the sun, but the delay caused us to miss a bike tour scheduled for later in the day. Not well organized at all.

Carolina did an incredible job keeping our tour super interesting and focused on all the stories of the Kings and nobility that lived in the palace. This really brought the history to life and made it much more entertaining for us and our kids as we walked through the palace. Afterward, we were admitted into the gardens and rented a golf cart to drive around, which the kids appreciated during the record breaking heat.

I never found my guide boy and as i wrote mant messages they have me intructiins i never for my guidance!! I want a refound out tour was 11:30 and we arrived 11:36 because the train was cancelled we took a Uber and we run as much as we can!!! We explain that tour by text message before the our of our appoitment is ridículos pagina 65 euro for 5 people and arriving 6 min later you can get your tour guide!! I want a refound of course!!!

That after the tour part ends, you will get to explore all of the beautiful gardens (so the total time is more than 2 hours). And that the fountains are only running on Saturday and Sunday—of course that just gives us a reason to go back :)

If you need assistance, there’s no one to assist you once you’ve paid. We tried reaching out to the company as our ride share had issues and we arrived later than the 30 minutes allowed $240 wasted and no one give us guidance.

Expect inside the palace for the rooms to be crowded if visiting on a busy day. Anastasia was outstanding and incredibly helpful, respectful navigating the crowds, and informative.

The meeting point was not at all clear a letter and numbers, meant nothing !! After going to information at the Palace and phone call to tour Guy eventually found meeting point.
If only ticket said meet at statue of Louis 14 at from of Palace it wouldn’t have been so stressful!
The actual tour and tour guide was very good.

We chose the Skip the Line tour and being a vey hot day, it was well worth the price. Our tour guide, Veronica was very pleasant and informative about the Castle and Royals. We enjoyed learning about the history that once we go home we plan to research more about Versailles

Versailles is worth seeing once, as long as you are prepared for crowds that are bigger than you might be able to imagine and any weather conditions. Our trip to Versailles in late May happened in the extreme heat so while the crowds weren't as bad, we did have to limit what we were able to do with the access our tickets gave us to the outdoor portions of Versailles after the palace tour, which our guide explained are perhaps the best part. Still though, well worth the trip to see it once. We were lucky in that the crowds out front were small - we were able to walk right in with our group which we were told is quite rare, but still, once inside, it was very crowded and the pace at which our group of 20 had to move through was very quick, allowing little time and space to truly look around. Those things can't be changed of course. Despite crazy work conditions, our guide, Veronique, was really good - very energetic, friendly, knowledgable and entertaining despite the extreme heat - despite the heat, she did a great job. We were given audio units so that we could hear Veronique right in our ears - it was admittedly a bit hard to hear with just one earphone in the crowds, but still, we were very happy to have the information and the stories she told us.
Versailles is worth seeing once, but given the crowds, and the enormous expanse of it, when you go in the year is everything. (Of course we often don't have much choice in that regard!) You will want to learn a bit about the palace and its history before you go to make the most of the tour which again, can only teach you so much. I will do my learning now, after the fact, but the tour will still be a very important part of that learning.
Like getting everywhere in Paris and environs, getting to Versailles on the RER is easy and then it's a short walk to the gates once you're there. Plan on not being in a rush, and you'll have an extraordinary day. You may only want to visit once because it's not likely to ever get less busy, so prepare well and you won't regret a thing!
(There are options for people whose mobility is not great or who simply don't want to explore the grounds in the heat - we didn't use them as it was simply too hot and without shade for the most part, but they would be worth exploring on a less extreme day.)

Viator farms the tour out to the Tour Guy. The Tour guy changed our starting time 2 days before. We told them we could not do that time and they then changed the time to a slightly earlier time which we could work with. . When we arrived we were told we were on the later tour ( the one that didn’t work for us) but now we were stuck with the later tour. once the tour was over we did not have time to see the gardens or the other buildings on the property due to our schedule. The original tour that we booked would have given us time to see the entire property.

Basically an extreme case of miscommunication and lack of transparency, bordering on misleading and scammy practices.
What we believed we had purchased was a priority entrance ticket to the château and gardens. At no point in the booking flow, ticket, or email communication was it clearly stated that this was actually a guided group tour with a fixed departure time.
Imagine our surprise when we arrived just 15 minutes after the official booking time and were told that the guide had already left with the group, meaning we could not redeem our tickets or enter the château at all.
We had already paid €100 per person for what appeared to be valid entrance tickets, complete with Apple Wallet QR codes and “entrance pass” wording. But apparently these were not actual château entry tickets. The email even explicitly encouraged us to download the tickets and stated verbatim that “electronic tickets are accepted.”
To make matters worse, we received an automated WhatsApp message at the exact minute the “tour” started. We replied immediately saying we would arrive within 15 minutes, but never received any response. We only managed to understand what had happened after calling customer service ourselves.
We even asked if we could at least receive the actual entrance tickets, since we did not care about the guided tour (and genuinely did not even know one was included), but this was refused.
Overall, a very disappointing experience and an extremely misleading booking process. Avoid this company at all costs.

The palace grounds and building itself were stunning. The tour operator, Tour Guy, were disorganized and late. Specific instructions were to arrive promptly at 8:45am. Arrived at 8:40am at the designated spot. 9:05am I received a text message from Olga asking we were located as they were looking for our group. After confirming my location per their directions she replied they’ll be there shortly. 10 mins later I asked via text were is our tour group reply, almost there. So at 9:15, 30 mins later, the tour guides arrived and begin a process of handing out earpieces. Never any apologies regarding tardiness or explanation. So we ended up entering the palace 30 past our ticket time. The tour guide was fine and pleasant except it was difficult to understand him with a strong Asian accent. He was very dry and mechanical in his speech. At times I felt like I was in a boring college lecture about French history. Overall I would do this again but would like a more organized tour group.

Our tour guide was 40 min late and had no communication with us. The tour was hectic and boring. While I am sure another tour guide would have provided a more informative and peasant experience.

We found our guide at the statue and she took us up to the Palace. Entry was quick and easy inspite of it being quite busy.
Once inside she expertly guided us through the rooms explaining the history and telling us amusing stories.
She was extremely attentive to the children they all interacted well with her and she ensured that my mobility problems were well taken care of.
I do not think we have had a better guide any where else.
