Our guide Nils was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all our questions . I wish the tour could have been longer.
Nice tour. Would recommend this company again for anyone who wants an informative experience while in France.
While Versailles is worth seeing, most rooms were literally shoulder to shoulder people, so very crowded. The tour operator, Get Your Guide, assigned a guide who was friendly and apparently knowledgeable, but spoke with a very strong French accent, especially when speaking a French name or place. All 4 friends in our group agreed later we understood at most 30-40 percent of what she said, and not enough to understand the full sentences. (We know very little French, but have easily understood our many conversations with other French speakers). So having a guide was essentially worthless. That was too bad, as there was likely lots of good information and, of course, we had paid for a guide.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t meet your expectations and that the guide’s accent made it difficult to follow. Please note that our guides are actively working to improve their English, with a focus on strengthening pronunciation and clarity.
We’ve shared your comments with our team for review and follow-up to ensure future tours are easier to understand.
The palace is exquisite. The reason for the rating is this: the single ear device made hearing a challenge with other guides speaking loudly and the sheer number of visitors. Our guide was lovely, however the French accent was quite strong, particularly when she spoke quickly which was often. I probably caught 20% of what she said and I stood very close to her and tried to focus to listen. Given the cost for the tour, I would have downloaded the audio guide for free on my phone and wandered through on my own. This may not have been the experience for others in our small group (7). But it was my experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I’m glad to hear you found the Palace exquisite, and I’m truly sorry that the guided part of the experience didn’t meet your expectations.
It’s unfortunate that the guide’s accent and pace made it difficult for you to follow her explanations. Please know that our guides are continuously working on their communication skills, including speaking more clearly and at a more comfortable pace.
Thank you again for highlighting this — it helps us improve the experience for future guests.
Excellent experience! The guide was extremely informative/ assertive and, paradoxically far reaching while posing his approaches towards the masterpieces. The “ visit “ was highly uplifting & straight to the point .. I mean, as “ concise “ as it could be. Congratulations to all Aviator stuff . Unfortunately I had to get out of the visit before the ending owing to a personal setback. Hope soon I will return to finish this amazing experience. Driving our group thru the museum avoiding less relevant spaces/ works and the crowd of tourists . It was not a piece of cake. Congratulations
Very good tour of Versaille. I’ve been to Paris several times but never toured Versaille before. This tour was a great introduction.
This was such a great tour with a wonderful knowledgeable tour guide. Very informative and enjoyable.
Our tour guide was wonderful, with the tour access was simple and quick! Gabriella was very informative and helped us step back in time to understand the palace functions and objectives. My wife and I very much enjoyed!
We had an amazing tour guide Thygo, he was very knowledgeable and amazing.
Versalles was amazing and I highly recommend getting a guide.
Amazing experience everlasting memories. Big thanks to the tour guide Clotilde, she was absolutely amazing and the way she took care of the entire group and the explanation of the palace in detail was mind blowing.
We had a great tour with Chloe who took lots of pictures of us and gave us a very detailed walk through of the palace. We also waited in no lines which was amazing and had a very smooth meetup process!
2 adults and a 16 old - all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, kept the group together and found us great spots within each of the rooms to take photos and stay as cool as possible. If the weathers hot take water and a fan as it can get warm in the crowded rooms, we didn’t pay to go into the gardens as we went to a fireworks event in the evening, I’d definitely recommend seeing them as they’re as magnificent as the palace. We couldn’t fault our experience, loved it!
The palace is beautiful but no air conditioning. It was 101 degrees when we visited. Had to cut our visit short due to the crowds. The guide was extremely knowledgeable.
Mat was an amazing tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, interesting, and a good speaker. The tour was well paced.
Nils was funny and educating.
It was very hot, bring lots of water.
It is a long walk on cobblestone until you reach the palace. Be careful with older folks
Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Beautiful palace. Exactly what we were looking for. Glad we could skip the line on such a warm day!
Well informed tour guide who is of part British and French ancestry. Who knew history and explained it in such an interesting and inspirational way never before experienced.
Brought the statues to life.
Our guide was an extremely kind, nice and genuinely knowledgeable lady that worked very hard and did an excellent job. Unfortunately however, her English was a bit difficult to understand. Especially whenever she spoke more quickly. Combined with the fact that the palace was extremely overcrowded and very noisy, it made it very hard to understand anything that was being said. We heard other guides from the same company that spoke better English as well so we were a little confused about why the situation was what it was but we would still rebook.

Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about our guide. We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed Versailles.
We’re truly sorry, however, that parts of the tour were difficult to follow. With the Palace often being extremely crowded and noisy, clear communication becomes even more important, and we understand how frustrating it can be when the English is harder to understand.
Our guides are actively working on improving their English accent, although for some it takes more time than for others. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we’re grateful you would rebook, we’d be happy to welcome you again for an even smoother experience next time.
Tiffen was very knowledgeable and a delightful guide. Perfect length tour. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely worth a tour, lots of interesting facts and behind scenes information.
Stunning view of the gardens.
Barbara was the absolute best guide. Extremely informative and brought light to some very heavy topics about the French Revolution. I would take every tour with her if I could. Thanks Barbara!!
Great trip around the palace with a knowledgeable tour guide. Loved our guide tiffin who was engaging and informative
It was seamless and very easy to get in the castle with the guide compared to the long line outside. The guide Emilie was very nice and with great knowledge.
I have been to Versailles with self guided tours in the past. I was really nice to have a knowledgeable guided tour which gives you a bit more insight that you may not get with a self guided tour.
Wonderfully informative tour! We really appreciated learning so much in such a short time. Thank you!
It’s a lot of walking but beautiful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it interesting to learn about the history of the palace.
We should have been given easier meeting place like inside in front of the building B.
We got separated from the Guide and he did not keep track of us.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about this experience. For operational reasons, the meeting point is at our office: the area at Gate B is often extremely crowded, which can make it difficult to identify the guide . That said, you should never feel left behind—our guides are expected to regularly check the group and ensure everyone is together before and after entering, we apolagize if that wasn't the case. We will share your comments with our team and reinforce these procedures.
Ruben was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and funny. My partner did not want to have a tour guide and after we were done he was so happy we did it. Lots to learn!
Versailles is incredible and well worth the 30 min drive/train to visit. Our tour guide, Aurelia, was very knowledgeable and nice.
The tour guide was very nice and helpful. However, there were a lot of stops though which made the tour feel very long, and we personally as a family prefer seeing the site a lot more than hearing a ton of talking about the history. Just know going into it that there’s no air conditioning in the Palace and that the tour guide talks a lot in some of the rooms. We left early because of that and so did others.
