Zara was very knowledgeable about the palace and it's history. I enjoyed the whole entire experience from being picked up and discussing sites along the way to touring the palace and learning unique facts about each room. We were certainly taken care of and didn't have to worry about anything. The whole day went very smoothly and I was more than satisfied with our full day experience. Also, lunch did not disappoint! No notes, definitely worth the expense!

We learned a lot about the history. Our guide Pablo made the history come alive, and was very informative about life at Versailles. He was great with answering questions. We can’t imagine how this tour could have been any better.

Julian was an amazing guide. On our way to Versailles he made excellent use of time and media to set the stage for what we were going to going to experience. Our tour had just the right amount of detail and we got to see everything we hoped to and more. He also researched a restaurant in town that offered vegetarian options which was important to us.

Julian was an incredible host and beside being incredibly intelligent, gracious and witty, Julian kept us engaged with so many stories and historical facts. He arrived early, regaled us with the history of France and the uniqueness of various arrondissements while bringing us safely to Versailles. Julian was extremely thoughtful of our group which included one guest who had some mobility issues and another who is deaf. He secured a wheelchair for my sister to aid in her getting around and was very mindful that my deaf niece was close nearby to be able to capture the information he was sharing.
We were all so very impressed with Julian and his knowledge and would highly recommend him!
The tour was planned to maximize the time and enabled us to see so many different aspects of Versailles. We would definitely rate this as one of the top tours we have ever been on!

Highly recommend.
I’ve visited Versailles before on my own, so I didn’t expect this tour to feel completely different — but it did. It was far easier, more relaxed, and much more enjoyable than navigating it independently.
Our guide met us at our hotel and drove us to Versailles, which let us see more of Paris along the way instead of worrying about trains and logistics. The biggest benefit came immediately: we bypassed the very long entry lines, even the timed-ticket line.
Inside, the experience felt far more meaningful. Rather than just walking through rooms, we understood what we were seeing and why it mattered. The explanations brought the palace to life.
We also had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant, and afterward were driven around the grounds and the outlying buildings. We covered far more without feeling rushed or exhausted.
If you’ve already been to Versailles, this is the way to truly appreciate it. And if you haven’t, I can’t imagine a better introduction.

This was my favorite tour while visiting Paris, Rozann, our tour guide, made this tour amazing! On our drive to Versailles she kept us engaged by talking about the areas we passed. Once we arrived at the palace, Rozann was incredibly knowledgeable about the palace, gardens, and grounds. She shared history and answered questions while inside the palace. Then our group had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, spending the remainder of the time wandering the gardens and other outdoor areas. Rozann was personable and friendly, thank you for a wonderful day!

We had a lovely day trip to Versailles. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and patient, allowing time for wandering family members taking photos and for our many questions. She knew so much about the palace, grounds, village and history, we left with a deeper appreciation of what we saw than had we toured on our own without a guide. Even the drive to and from Paris was filled with sights and anecdotes that left us with a deeper appreciation of the city.

A must see. Wonderful guide picks you up at hotel and drives you to Versailles parking lot. Escorts you to the entrance. Amazing palace and gardens are a must see. The petit Trianon is incredible as well. Good food for lunch.

Zara made our day at Versailles everything it needed to be. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on the day of our tour and she certainly made it a memorable milestone. She picked us up on time and began sharing her wealth of knowledge about Paris with us during the ride to Versailles. She is attentive, insightful, professional and just an all around nice person. She knew of excellent photo spots and always offered to take photos of us with beautiful backgrounds. The day was tailored to us and she ensured we were satisfied with her services throughout the day. We traversed the Palace, gardens, Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and the grounds surrounding it. She, and my husband, patiently waited as I could not pass up a gift shop. Lunch was wonderful and she checked on us during it to ensure we were being well taken care of. If going to Versailles is something you have always wanted to do, invest in your experience and book this tour, specifically with Zara if you can.

Our guide Zara was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. Versailles was incredible and we got to see it all -- the palace, the gardens and groves, the Trianons and the hamlet. The guide provided a combination of walking tour and driving through the chateau grounds - which were beautiful and interesting. Only two points of disappointment with things that differed from what was in the tour description on Viator: (1) the car transport was not in a Mercedes as indicated, but rather the tour guide's personal car (Tesla model 3) which was not so comfortable for my husband in the back seat, and (2) the included lunch was not at La Flotille as indicated but rather at the Le Petit Bouillon, which was not good (Google rating of only 3.8). While the menu choices were varied, the quality of the food and wine was poor and we didn't eat most of it. For what we paid for this private tour, the tour company could have provided the promised transportation class and better caliber of restaurant. Nevertheless, our overall experience was very good and we very much enjoyed our day at Versailles.

Timely pick up in a clean comfortable vehicle. Our guide Zarah was outstanding. Good English skills and lots of interesting information and insights. Very open to questions from us, and would provide a knowledgeable answer. She is very knowledgeable and delivers it without it being a lecture.

Tour guide needs to retire or learn how to speak to clients. Don't quiz and complain about something mentioned 45 minutes earlier. We are there to see stuff, so visual information is being absorbed instead of tidbits that can be looked up online anytime. A little overpriced for what was received. Tour events were as described. France is too cheap to run the Versailles fountains during the weekdays. Uploaded picture is middle of August with a plain garden with no fountains on. No frills.

Versailles is not only a palace to admire visually, but also a historic site with centuries of stories, symbolism, and context behind its displays. While it is true that some facts can be found online, the role of a professional licensed guide such as Hugues—who has many years of experience—is precisely to interpret these details and bring them to life, making the visit more meaningful.
Regarding the fountains, they are indeed only in operation on weekends and during specific events. This is a decision made by the Château de Versailles, and unfortunately outside our control. We always strive to inform our guests of these conditions in advance.

Tour provides transportation from Paris to Versailles and back in a comfortable van. Guide is knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch is included except for alcohol. Tour includes Marie Antoinette’s farm.

Our private family tour of Versailles and Marie-Antoinette’s Estate was beautiful and informative. The guide was excellent, and the experience overall was memorable. However, a few VIP touches were missing. Complimentary cold water on a hot day, limited lunch options for dietary needs, and the children’s menu wasn’t offered. We were also celebrating a birthday, but that wasn’t communicated to the restaurant for a special touch. With better communication, this could have been a truly elevated experience. Still, we would recommend it.

Scheduled a private tour and Bartron (sp?) was absolutely fabulous! He was professional, prepared, engaging with informative, yet captivating stories throughout our tour, lunch, and travels throughout Versailles. Being it was one of the hottest days in Paris, he was considerate to taking breaks, walking in the shade, and finding shortcuts as we wanted to see the main sites… but it was hot! He engaged with our teenagers and kept them involved. My 13-y/o son stated this was his favorite experience after 10-days of travel! Wonderful experience, highest recommendation for him as a tour guide and this experience!

We had an unforgettable all-day private tour of Versailles and Marie Antoinette’s estate, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, our guide (Zara) was exceptional! She was friendly, considerate, incredibly patient, and deeply knowledgeable. Zara brought the rich history of Versailles to life with thoughtful insights, interesting stories, and a genuine passion for the subject. The lunch spot was steps outside of the Versailles gate with excellent food and friendly staff.
What made the day even more special was how kind and attentive Zara was, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable, moving at a relaxed pace, and happy to answer every question with warmth and clarity. The experience felt truly personal and tailored, and we left with a much deeper appreciation of Versailles and all of the people who lived there.
It was a perfect day! Beautifully organized, informative, and genuinely enjoyable. If you’re considering a private tour of Versailles, this is the way to do it!

Well worth the money!!! Our visit to Versailles was at the top of our list and this tour did not disappoint! Our private tour guide Rozenn was absolutely amazing, she provided a wealth of historical information that we would not have had without a private tour. Our tour included private pickup from our hotel in Paris and lunch at a traditional Persian restaurant in the town of Versailles. This tour also included Marie Antoinette’s farm and apartments. We highly recommend this tour.

This is a great tour, a dive into the fascinating history of the times; without our guide, it would have been just another palace but she brought it to life in a fun and interesting way, showing how much she loved what she does. We have the greatest time ever!
Roseanne our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared with us so much of the history of the palace properties and gardens . We had a wonderful lunch,
