After the quick security check at the first set of gates, cross the cobblestone square until you reach the massive shiny Golden gate. Your guide will be waiting for you there, right between entrances A and B. He will be holding a Kingtours sign and he will give you your tickets !

Disappointed trip.

First it was raining and we were asked to come early but the tour guide was late. Second, we walked most of the time. One it was raining the team was not prepared for the rain. Golf cart seats were wet no towels or plastic provided. We had to drive the golf cart. My niece who had a brace on her leg had to stand and walk for most of the time. Then she let us sit in a cold cafe for an hour while she was knitting. While Angeline was ok again she didn’t do anything. She left us at the door. Over an hour of our event was sitting in cafes. There was no tour of the inside and frankly given the rain when we asked to try to move things around you guys had no clout no ability to pivot. I am now sick. My niece had to walk. We imagined we would be covered most of the time in golf carts.

We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that the weather conditions on the day of your visit made the tour less comfortable. Unfortunately, the heavy and continuous rain that day significantly affected the normal operation of outdoor tours at Versailles. For safety reasons, golf carts cannot be used in certain areas and some walking is always required due to the historic layout and access restrictions of the estate. Please note that the Guide was on time at the meeting location, but we understand that due to the weather condition that day it might have been challenging to connect. Our guide’s intention in stopping at cafés was to provide shelter and warmth while waiting for conditions to improve. However, we understand that this may have reduced the overall touring experience, especially given your niece’s mobility difficulties, and we truly regret the discomfort this caused. Regarding the interior visit, access and scheduling inside the palace are strictly regulated by the monument authorities. Last-minute changes of the timed entry tickets are unfortunately not always possible. Please be assured that we take your comments very seriously. We are reviewing this experience internally with our team to improve communication about walking distances, weather contingency plans, and guest expectations regarding golf cart usage. Our guide, Aloïs (apologies if misspelled), was fantastic. In spite of a strike and technical issues delaying our start, he made sure our tour was relaxed and complete. Aloïs’ knowledge of Versailles and French history was deep, and he is a great “storyteller”, giving us such important historical and cultural context. We loved the golf cart and bike combination so we could get all the way out to the Queen’s Hamlet. It is a very active day… and one we will never forget.

Gardens and Hamlet are a MUST

Exceptional experience with our fantastic guide, Alois! We weren’t sure what to expect, but Alois’s knowledge and stories brought us back to the times of Louis XIV through the French Revolution. The Hamlet is absolutely amazing and we enjoyed the multiple elements of nature and history. The golf cart was excellent as we had family “of an advanced age” that were able to enjoy the gardens without the extensive walking (albeit, there is still walking, just not as much)! We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Truly appreciate the experience!!

to much time in the gardens almost 6 hours only and hour in golf cart if you dont want bicicles prepare to wait for ever. when you are ready to enter the most important part "the castle" it is full and the tour gide disapears no directions going foward

Bonjour, thank you for your feed back. We regret that you did not fully enjoyed your Versailles experience with us. We receive around 9millions visitors per year, the place can get a little crowded and we on busy days we have to wait a little bit for available seats in the shuttle as you choosed not to ride bikes. The inside of the Palace, at the end of the tour is self guided. Sorry that the Palace was very crowded on the day of your visit, unfortunately this is beyond us. Regards

This was a great experience. Our tour guide did a great job at managing the group and explaining the history of Versailles. We had a lot of fun on the golf carts - the best way to see the gardens. I highly recommend.

The Best Way to see Versailles Gardens!

Anthony and Kings Tours provided us with a marvelous day at Versailles. We toured the massive gardens in golf carts which made it possible to see and hear so much more in a morning than by foot. With the efficiency of the golf carts, we were able to see the highlights of the gardens, the smaller palaces of the Hamlet area as well the main palace all in one day. Kings Tours had a delicious lunch ready to go for us at a cafe on grounds which gave us a welcome break between the gardens and the main palace tours. Anthony and Kings Tours provided rich presentations throughout the tour and made our day truly memorable. The high quality of this tour and guide is what I have come to expect from the excellent tours offered on Viator.
