After the quick security check at the first set of gates, cross the cobblestone square until you reach the massive shiny Golden gate. Your guide will be waiting for you there, right between entrances A and B. He will be holding a Kingtours sign and he will give you your tickets !

Here's an explanation as to why this tour could have been 5 starts but wasn't.
Our guide Annie was amazing - we were late arriving due to issues on the metro (as was another couple) however Annie kindly waited for us. She was funny and offered to take photos for our group if needed. She offered some history about Versailles and the tour started strong. We were concerned that we would have missed parts of the tour due to being late but this is where things took a decline. There was ALOT of down time. We toured the gardens and then had a bathroom/coffee break while we waited for the shuttle to take us to the Petite Trianon (some chose to take bikes). We were at the rest stop for 1 HOUR... We then took the shuttle and viewed the Petit Trianon and the Hamlet - but people from our tour started to wander due to the length of the time it was taking from place to place. You could feel people getting restless on the tour. We then took a lunch break which was well over an hour - due to Angelina's being packed and it taking forever for some people to order their food. Here's where my main issue arose with Annie. She was asking us to leave Google reviews before the tour was finished, and when we asked if would have time to see Versailles and if we could leave the tour to head back, she said we all had to leave together and we couldn't get into Versailles without her and it was open until 7pm. WRONG. After lunch Annie and some of the others who decided to take bikes left prior to us with on the shuttle to get a head start. My family and four others took the shuttle back. We waited at our meeting point back at Versailles. At this point it was 4pm and what was supposed to be a 15 minute wait for the bikes was now 30 mins. I decided to try my luck and ask the staff at Versailles if we could enter with the tickets provided by Annie. Bingo. No issues. At this point our group was tired of the waiting and poor time management and all left the meeting point to go to Versailles. While we were inside Versailles Annie called me and asked if we were still waiting. I said we had gone into Versailles with the rest of our group. She said they had bike troubles so had to walk the bikes back. Thank God we decided to go into Versailles as to our surprise an announcement came on at 545 that Versailles was closing at 6PM.
The time management was poor on this tour. I feel like we could have seen much more in a 6 hour tour.
We loved this tour. The guide, Aisha, was so kind and well-informed and made the experience special and interesting. The idea of using golf carts and shuttle made it possible for my husband who has some mobility challenges to enjoy himself as much as we all did. Bravo
Despite the golf carts there. Is still a significant amount of walking and climbing of stairs involved. However if you are fit enough it is well worth the effort, particularly around the extensive gardens and interior of the palace.
The tour was fun and very informative.
I would have thought we would have more golf cart with the tour. We did a lot of walking which was unexpected. The whole golf cart theme made it seem we wouldn't walk much at all, which wasn't ture. We spent a lot of time walking.

We're sorry that the amount of walking was more than you expected. While our golf carts allow guests to cover the largest distances across the Estate comfortably, there are some of Versailles' most iconic areas that are simply not accessible by golf cart. This includes the beautiful Bosquets (groves) and Marie Antoinette's Hamlet, which can only be explored on foot.
Our goal is to combine the convenience of the golf carts with the opportunity to experience these unique locations up close. Even so, the golf carts significantly reduce the amount of walking compared to a traditional walking tour and allow guests to see much more of the Estate in the time available.

This is a great tour with many options. Everyone was so accommodating and fun. Our tour guide, Amir, was incredible - extremely knowledgeable and attentive and made the day really fun. We highly recommend and would definitely book this tour again. 5 stars!
The golf cart tour at Versailles was an amazing experience and a fantastic way to explore the vast gardens. Riding through the grounds made it easy to see so much more than we could on foot while still feeling relaxed and immersive. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared fascinating history, hidden details, and great stories about the estate. It was well organized, comfortable, and perfect for taking in the beauty of Versailles at a leisure pace. I highly recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again.
There are many interesting things about the grounds of Versailles that you will see on this tour. It is more complex than you would think.
This was one of the best tours we taken in France. Our guide, Alouis was fantastic because he was knowlegable and caring. We ran late and communicated with him the entire time to meet up when he did arrive. Paris traffic was atrocious. Our guide was patient and kind and made the history part of this guided tour interesting and fun. Would highly recommend this tour group, and Alouis, if available. to everyone wanting to experience an authentic historical adventure.
Dress for the weather. Its a wonderful experience but it does involve e a nice amount of walking too. Our guide was excellent.
First it was raining and we were asked to come early but the tour guide was late. Second, we walked most of the time. One it was raining the team was not prepared for the rain. Golf cart seats were wet no towels or plastic provided. We had to drive the golf cart. My niece who had a brace on her leg had to stand and walk for most of the time. Then she let us sit in a cold cafe for an hour while she was knitting. While Angeline was ok again she didn’t do anything. She left us at the door. Over an hour of our event was sitting in cafes. There was no tour of the inside and frankly given the rain when we asked to try to move things around you guys had no clout no ability to pivot. I am now sick. My niece had to walk. We imagined we would be covered most of the time in golf carts.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that the weather conditions on the day of your visit made the tour less comfortable.
Unfortunately, the heavy and continuous rain that day significantly affected the normal operation of outdoor tours at Versailles. For safety reasons, golf carts cannot be used in certain areas and some walking is always required due to the historic layout and access restrictions of the estate.
Please note that the Guide was on time at the meeting location, but we understand that due to the weather condition that day it might have been challenging to connect.
Our guide’s intention in stopping at cafés was to provide shelter and warmth while waiting for conditions to improve. However, we understand that this may have reduced the overall touring experience, especially given your niece’s mobility difficulties, and we truly regret the discomfort this caused.
Regarding the interior visit, access and scheduling inside the palace are strictly regulated by the monument authorities. Last-minute changes of the timed entry tickets are unfortunately not always possible.
Please be assured that we take your comments very seriously. We are reviewing this experience internally with our team to improve communication about walking distances, weather contingency plans, and guest expectations regarding golf cart usage.

It was very cold, would have brought warmer clothes if I had realized we were touring gardens first.
Our guide, Aloïs (apologies if misspelled), was fantastic. In spite of a strike and technical issues delaying our start, he made sure our tour was relaxed and complete. Aloïs’ knowledge of Versailles and French history was deep, and he is a great “storyteller”, giving us such important historical and cultural context. We loved the golf cart and bike combination so we could get all the way out to the Queen’s Hamlet. It is a very active day… and one we will never forget.
Exceptional experience with our fantastic guide, Alois! We weren’t sure what to expect, but Alois’s knowledge and stories brought us back to the times of Louis XIV through the French Revolution. The Hamlet is absolutely amazing and we enjoyed the multiple elements of nature and history. The golf cart was excellent as we had family “of an advanced age” that were able to enjoy the gardens without the extensive walking (albeit, there is still walking, just not as much)! We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Truly appreciate the experience!!
to much time in the gardens almost 6 hours only and hour in golf cart if you dont want bicicles prepare to wait for ever. when you are ready to enter the most important part "the castle" it is full and the tour gide disapears no directions going foward

We regret that you did not fully enjoyed your Versailles experience with us.
We receive around 9millions visitors per year, the place can get a little crowded and we on busy days we have to wait a little bit for available seats in the shuttle as you choosed not to ride bikes.
The inside of the Palace, at the end of the tour is self guided.
Sorry that the Palace was very crowded on the day of your visit, unfortunately this is beyond us.

This was a great experience. Our tour guide did a great job at managing the group and explaining the history of Versailles. We had a lot of fun on the golf carts - the best way to see the gardens. I highly recommend.

Anthony and Kings Tours provided us with a marvelous day at Versailles. We toured the massive gardens in golf carts which made it possible to see and hear so much more in a morning than by foot. With the efficiency of the golf carts, we were able to see the highlights of the gardens, the smaller palaces of the Hamlet area as well the main palace all in one day. Kings Tours had a delicious lunch ready to go for us at a cafe on grounds which gave us a welcome break between the gardens and the main palace tours. Anthony and Kings Tours provided rich presentations throughout the tour and made our day truly memorable. The high quality of this tour and guide is what I have come to expect from the excellent tours offered on Viator.
