What are people saying about Valencia

Fun and informative!
We had a great time with Cormac! He was full of interesting facts about Valencia, and really warm and friendly. I would recommend that you start your stay in Valencia with this tour, you get a little bit of everything! The wine and tapas were just delightful!

Quick overview!
It was a great overview of the city for someone on a crunched time schedule. We saw a lot of the highlights of the city and Carlos was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. It was evident that he loved Barcelona throughout the tour. We were only in town for a weekend and this was a great way to see highlights.

Excellent trip
The guide had a good knowledge of the city and had a good sense of humour. He allowed enough time for any questions at each stop, the cycling was easy enough for inexperienced cyclists.
The trip was good value for money and easy to find, we would thoroughly recommend this trip.

A guided visit of Alhambra is worth the price!
We weren't sure about visiting Alhambra with a guide but are so glad that we did! It's huge and there is so much history associated with it. We would not have been able to appreciate all of that without the informative guidance of Laura. She gave us the history, interspersed with humor, to make it more interesting. Having a guide is definitely worth the price.

Fun, delicious and educational
This was fun and delicious! We met with Louis and traveled to the market learning more about the city as we walked. He taught us about the history of the Market and how to shop there. Then we walked to a friendly and fun place to make the paella and get to know one another better. The Cava, wine and cheeses were delicious. Making the paella was fun and educational. Enjoying our final product was the best. I would highly recommend this adventure to others.

Excellent tour and excellent guide
This tour is excellent - the castle and the views from the top are worth your time and money - and being guided by Tony, a very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable guide, made this an unforgettable tour, one that deserves my highest recommendation.
Thanks for a very nice day.

Magical private tour of Alhambra
Highly recommend Christian, who was our personal guide today. He’s very articulate, attentive, knowledgeable and most of all clearly loves and appreciates the beauty and rich history of Alhambra. Even our 6yo enjoyed it! Christian made our visit to Alhambra truly unforgettable

Exceptional Tour Guide - Maria
Maria was an amazing tour guide. From start to finish she was very passionate and exceptionally articulate with explaining the history and significance of each part of Alhambra and the Gardens. We moved at a very good pace, where she was able to figure out how to perfectly time moving from site to site, while avoiding massive tour groups. She also was very approachable and made the tour highly valuable for the price. The weather was perfect, and overall, would highly recommend anyone to book this tour.

Fantastic Cave tour
The caves are amazing and highly recommended. Our guide Joquim was fantastic. The bus ride was about 45 min, but, was fine as you got to see a bit of the outskirts of Valencia. While there are no photos permitted at the beginning of the boat tour, it makes sense because you need to mind the cave walls and ceiling, you are permitted to take photos later in the tour which is more than enough to capture the beauty of the caves and water. Super amazing! Tip while waiting for entry to the caves which is 45-60 min, the coffee is great and the fresh squeezed Valencian orange juice was the best I’ve ever had. One of first or second stalls on the right as you walk up towards the ticket booth.

A Brilliant, Insightful, and Unforgettable Alhambra Experience
Our tour of the Alhambra, including the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife, with our guide Abubakr was absolutely outstanding and the clear highlight of our visit to Granada.
Abubakr is a true history expert with deep knowledge of Islamic culture and Arabic. He even read inscriptions directly from the palace walls in three different calligraphic styles, bringing the Alhambra vividly to life. His explanations beautifully connected architecture, gardens, water, and symbolism into a coherent whole, delivered with depth, clarity, and a sharp sense of humor.
An unforgettable experience. If you want a guide who combines scholarship, passion, and engaging storytelling, Abubakr is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Lucky to find these a few...
Lucky to find these a few weeks before visit date (Alhambra tickets sell out quickly) - only option that also included Nasrid Palaces. Excellent skip-the-line tour with a knowledgeable guide - ours was Amine, who had an excellent knowledge of all the components that make the Alhambra special - the history, architecture, Arabic language, and even botany in light of the various gardens on the palace grounds.

An Expert
Amine is your guy. He studied the Alhambra for years and has intimate knowledge of the complex’s architecture, art, and deep history. As a Moroccan polyglot, Amine also brings a unique perspective. He can read the inscribed Arabic calligraphy dotting the walls, then interpret them in the context of the surrounding art & architecture. It adds a rich layer to the experience. Highly recommend!
A few practical notes for future visitors:
- Keep your schedule flexible. We didn’t know our exact tour start time until the day of. However, Amine reached out to us via WhatsApp the day before to ask about our time preferences.
- Nasrid Palace access was not guaranteed. But neither is it guaranteed on many other tours listed here on Viator, since tickets for it are limited and unpredictable. That said, we toured on a very popular date and Amine still managed to get us in, so the odds are in your favor.
- This was a live tour, NOT an audio-guided one, despite how it is listed on Viator for English speakers. Amine himself guided us through the site, and he spoke fluent English.

There’s no end to the fun with Valencia tours. The birthplace of paella has much more to offer than just the famous seafood-and-rice dish—though you should definitely try making it yourself while you’re in town. Visit the hot springs of Montanejos, the fairy tale town of Peñíscola, or row a boat through Albufera National Park. Or simply soak up the vibe of the city on a guided walk or tuk-tuk ride that highlights centuries of history.
