This cooking class was one of the highlights of my time in Valencia. Megan and Cain were great hosts - lots of information about the history of paella; and they made it a very lively and entertaining evening.

A very fun and informative class. We learned so much of the history of paella and how it came to be. We also learned why the ingredients make it a truly special dish.

What a great experience! Chef Megan was so great from the tour and shopping to the cooking of the paella! Lune was great describing the wines and pairings. By far our favorite experience in Valencia!

We had a paella class with a group of friends and their kids aged 9-13 and had an incredible time. The class was interactive and fun for all ages, providing a history of paella and what makes it special in Valencia.
There were snacks and drinks throughout the experience and everyone was given equal and engaging attention.
Maybe most importantly, the paella in the end was fantastic!

My wife and I had the most amazing evening learning how to cook the traditional Valencian paella
As we learnt on the evening it’s not just about cooking it’s about the gathering of people, the drinking of wine and the conversation.
Our amazing chef- Reyas I’m sorry if I didn’t spell this correctly was absolutely sensational the passion she showed while teaching us will always stay with my wife I
This is must do if you are visiting Valencia

Juan and Amber were amazing hosts! We learned so much about the origins of paella and then this hands on experience taught us how to cook it! Eating our product at the end with the wine was a fantastic way to finish the class. It was fun, interactive and overall one of the most memorable experiences we have had in Spain!

Great experience, Juan was incredibly informative and helpful with both cooking and Valencian history. Luna was great with the wine pairings, tasting notes, tapas, and was very accommodating to allergies in our group.

Great experience! Got to go to the central market and walk around a bit. I was paired up with another solo person and we hit it off. Everyone in my group was awesome! Learned a lot of little things I wouldn’t have thought of to do when making paella. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic!! Highlight of our trip! Victor was AMAZING! Very organized, personable and knowledgeable! Market was closed so Victor gave a short tour of the area recommending many eateries! I’d do this one again! Fun! fun! Fun! We had a great group of people from around the world and after cooking, we ate our paella family style. And by the way, our paella was delicious! Thanks Victor and staff(who served wine and tapas throughout)! Well done!

A lot of walking to the market and then back to class. Market was interesting and we bought supplies for class fresh . Megan the teacher was delightful. We were offered numerous different drinks during the class and some yummy appetizers. We sat down at end and ate what we had cooked. It was delicious. Would recommend this class!

This was a fun and engaging activity for the whole family. Daniel & his assistant Amber were lovely hosts and instructors. We learned some great tips on making paella and had a fun time mingling with other travelers while we cooked and sipped cava & wine. Chef Reyes is AMAZING!!! We had such a great time. She's so knowledgeable in the history of Valencia and Paella's. Everyone in the class felt as if we had a one-on-one experience; she is that attentive.
And her assistant/sommelier, Victor is the absolute best. This is a must while in Valencia.

We attended the Paella class during our stop in Valencia on the cruise. It was a perfect way to enjoy a day onshore. Megan and Julia did an excellent job accommodating my Spanish-speaking parents and coordinating the timing with the tour and cooking session. The Tapas, wine, and Paella were all delicious. Highly recommended!

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Reyes guided us through the city, sharing her passion for València , its food, culture and heritage. A visit to the market to buy our last ingredients where she again shared some useful hints and tips. Sea Saffron was a lovely venue and we had a warm welcome from Amber who introduces the wine that would be served during the experience. Reyes our professional chef was amazing, funny and very knowledgeable.
The 4 hours flew by and was filled with learning, cooking, drinking wine, eating nibbles and then finished with our own amazing paella which we cooked ourselves which of course was delicious!
Best highlight of our trip to València and excellent value for money.

To state that this was probably one of the best experiences we had while visiting Spain would be an understatement. Naturally, while visiting the birthplace of paella, our family wanted to immerse ourselves in the culture and try our hand at making a paella. When we signed up for this class, we truly didn't know what to expect. The group of individuals in our class made it a lively and enjoyable environment, but the stars of the show were Reyes and Julia. Reyes welcomed everyone from the group in such an energetic way and did an amazing job of walking us all through the different aspects of what's needed for a paella while visiting the Central Market. Upon arriving at the location where we'd be making the paella, we were welcomed into a space that, quite honestly, no one in our family was expecting. The modern decor and a table setup with glasses of cava and aceitunas awaited us upon arrival. Julia, who was responsible for keeping us "hydrated", was very knowledgeable about the wines and ensured that our glasses were never empty throughout the course.
The class itself was spectacular. Reyes patiently guided us through the cooking of 3 different paellas, the traditional, seafood and vegetable options. The coordination to ensure that all paellas were cooked to perfection was amazing. Upon completing the cooking, it was such a treat to seat at a table with our whole group and enjoy the work that each of us had put in to make our paella. We arrived around 10AM and left around 2pm, and I will say it was 4 hours well spent and worth every bit of what the cost was for this class.
Our family enjoyed the experience so much that we will, without hesitation, book this class when we visit Valencia again. I highly recommend you do the same if you are in Valencia!

Absolutely loved Daniel’s passion for cooking paella. It was amazing to watch him speak about making the various kinds of paella while watching over 14 people cooking their individual paella and making sure none of us burned it. Him and Michelle took great care of everyone’s needs and answered all our questions. The tidbit of Valencian history while walking to the Central Market during the morning paella cooking class made it extra special as we didn’t have time in our day to tour the fountain or other places nearby. Would definitely recommend this class! Only thing that would make it better is having paella pans on site to purchase after the class. Had to go find one to bring back home.

Lovely evening and fantastic cooking experience! The chef/ host Dani and was lively, and kept the group entertained as we made our paella. He was knowledgeable in the history of the food and kept things moving throughout the evening. The food turned out so good, best paella I’ve had and we made it ourselves which was more rewarding and the wine and apps were delish!! Really loved this experience with my husband and meeting others. Each couple or trio had their own station and dish keeping things intimate while still in a group setting.

Chef Victor and Julia were fantastic! They provided facts, their expertise, and were so welcoming and kind. This paella was everything I hoped for and it was delicious. I made the vegetable one and the flavor was amazing. The stop at central market was great too. Overall, I felt supported and had the best time!

So amazing - highly recommended - great way to learn about food and culture and the whole experience was perfectly done. Megan was amazing!

This is a must do experience in the home of Paella, Valencia. Our Chef, Reyes, met our group and took us on a quick walking tour to the Mercat Central—the Central Market in the historic section of the city. We bought fresh ingredients while she explained the history of the almost 100 year old market.
At the elegant paella cooking school, we were greeted with a glass of Cava and fresh olives. An assistant explained to us the various local wines we would be enjoying during our experience. Btw the wines were excellent.
The actual cooking was done in a separate room with 8 paella pans already positioned and the ingredients arranged in a perfect mise en place. Each couple prepared either original Paella València with chicken and rabbit; seafood paella with cuddle fish, fresh fish and large prawns, or vegetable paella.
The cooking process was virtually identical for each paella and we all worked in unison. Chef Reyes was pretty hands on making sure we had the appropriate heat on the dishes. She also explained to us the significance of the steps and ingredients, especially the rice.
During the cooking process, the assistant kept out glasses full and passed around small bites. I estimate that the cooking time was about 40-50 minutes.
After letting the paella rest a few minutes, we all set at a long beautifully set table and enjoyed our efforts. A nice local red Bobol was served with the food. Everyone was happy with the results. I must admit, our paella was really good.
We finished with a local dessert and a local after dinner drink.
This is the best cooking class experience we’ve ever enjoyed. Reyes was delightful. She is from Valencia and went to culinary school in San Sebastián. Great pedigree!
I highly recommend this experience and believe it really enhances a visit to Valencia.
