This was interesting, fun, and tasty. My grandson and I signed up since we like cooking and good food (and we had done this before.) Meghan and Julia were perfect hosts! We learned about paella, we shopped for the ingredients at the Central Market, then we cooked and ate the paella with eleven others. Our group was delightful. We were served multiple rounds of tapas and wines while cooking. This is a must tour while in Valencia!

Víctor and Thula were exceptional hosts, open to questions and detailed (without going overboard) in their explanations. Our pre-paella wine (with nuts and olives) was exceptional! When we entered the kitchen area everything was measured out and set in place, so all we had to do was follow Víctor’s excellent step-by-step instructions. Wine was excellent and liberally dispensed during the cooking session and dinner while maintaining safety.
Enjoyed this class way more than I had anticipated. Leftovers were boxed up and enjoyed the next day for lunch.
Since this was an evening session, we did not go to the market.
Thank you Víctor and Thula for a memorable evening in València during Las Fallas.

Great experience. So much fun to learn how to make paella and learn more about the history of the dish. The event includes a few wines and tapas as well. They also allow some modifications to the ingredients so don't be afraid to ask. Highly recommend!

My daughter is gluten free and was superbly accommodated.
The tapas and wine pairings were all delicious and to top it off we made a gorgeous paella that we have replicated on our return home.
Our group of ladies were gorgeous company. It was relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening and I highly recommend to anyone.

What an incredible experience on our first day in Valencia! Juanda showed us around the central market to pick up ingredients for our Paella and when we returned, Luna had wine and tapas waiting. They were both so welcoming and knowledgeable. I would recommend this class over and over!

This paella cooking class is extraordinary! They raise the bar in comparison to others. Visiting the Market to purchase needed ingredients is an amazing experience. The market is gigantic and incredible. The warm cordial reception when we arrived at the establishment made you feel so welcomed. We were pleasantly surprised by the distinguished wines and delectable hors d’oeuvres.
The master chef provided clear and defined instructions so everyone knew exactly what to do. He visited every station to assist each person throughout their paella cooking experience. We laughed and cheered each other on and when it was time to dine together….we all became quiet because every bite was delicious! We HIGHLY recommend this Paella Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia!!!!!!

This exceeded our expectation- had a great morning and Juan was an excellent host. Cooked in pairs or individually depending on the paella choice. Tapas and wine were provided and the hostess - sorry can’t remember her name - was delightful and obliging. The end result was delicious and better than the restaurant version we had the previous night. Value for money and would definitely recommend. Came to Valencia especially for the paella- did not disappoint.

Book this experience! Dani, our chef, is from Valencia and not only taught us about Paella but about Valencia and Fallas, the festival going on in the city. Choose the traditional Valencian Paella made with Rabbit & Chicken for the authentic experience. He makes it easy, helping you each step of the process, explaining and also adjusting your pan so you don’t ruin it on accident :-) They serve wine and tapas throughout the cooking experience and then you get to eat your creation along with more wine and dessert! It was the perfect way to spend the early afternoon. Know that if you book on a Sunday the market is closed, so you don’t get to shop for your ingredients before. We didn’t mind, but if that’s important to you consider a different day. Everything we ate and drank was fresh, unique and authentic. You work in pairs and there was plenty of space in the kitchen to accommodate all of us. There were 6 couples in total, plus Dani and Luna who is interning for the spring and summer. If you want to learn to cook Paella, do it in Valencia where it originated and do it with Dani. He’s exceptional and this was a highlight of our entire trip to Spain!

We had a total of 8 people in our group. Our chef, Reyes, greeted us at the meeting point and walked us through the local market. We then went to the kitchen and prepared paella. She walked us through each step. We had some tapas and wine throughout the experience. It was a lot of fun and I would not only recommend this tour, I would do this tour again!

Fabulous experience Reyes was friendly and knowledgable she was a great teacher who made it easy to make great Paella.
We all had a cava and snack with the introduction and throughout the cook we tasted white wine and red with our Paella. Each group tasted each other's Paella and they were all delicious. The night was so much fun! A highlight of our trip through Spain.

This mercato tour and paella cooking class was much more than advertised. Juan, our guide and chef for the day, and his wine service partner at the cooking venue, were both amazing! Juan took us to the Mercato to pick up some menu items and let us explore briefly. Then we walked back to cooking class venue. There we found cava and tapas for us as we walked in, and the kitchen was set up really well for our class! Once the step by step class cooking was completed we had lunch together in a dining area. It was like being in an amazing hotel suite but with cooking instead of sleeping at the heart of it! I’d strongly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to know a bit about Valencia food history and a great class in paella preparation!
