Excellent bfast stop around 7.15. Yes, there are toilets upon arrival at the walks ( and on bus if urgent). If you are doing the Rim walk, you sign an indemnity form on the bus that you do have three litres of water with you… and this is checked upon arrival. The alternative creek walk is very nice ( a couple of walkers on the Rim walk did struggle and needed the guides assistance, holding up the group and bus schedule a little bit). When you’ve finished your walks, Kings canyon resort has a very good hotel for food and drinks. On the way back to Yulara, there’s a quick roadside toilet stop and another stop at an impressive cattle station for toilet and snacks. Lovely guides and bus driver. AAT: please update your phone charging ports to suit the newer phones. Coaches are comfortable with plenty of room for backpacks etc…

I, together with three friends, had the most wonderful experience exploring the Australian Outback, made even more memorable by our fantastic guide, Owen. Despite his self-declared inexperience, Owen handled everything like a seasoned veteran, taking excellent care of all 15 members of the group and ensuring our comfort throughout the journey. The Red Centre is truly an experience not to be missed. I had imagined it to be barren and featureless, but I could not have been more wrong. We were amazed by the spectacular rock formations of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, as well as the unique vegetation and landscapes along the way. Even the four- to five-hour drives between destinations were exhilarating. The ever-changing scenery and fascinating geology made the journey itself part of the experience. A wonderful trip, made even better by a great group of fellow travellers and an exceptional guide. Highly recommended!

Don’t be put off by the Segway … this is the most enjoyable way to circumnavigate Uluru! If you can step up and down, forward and back, and stand up straight, you’ll nail the Segway! Our tour started with a pickup from our hotel and a short drive to a sunrise viewing spot of Uluru. We enjoyed a light breakfast of hot beverages, juices, muesli and muffins. Although the weather didn’t provide a sunrise, we did witness clouds sitting on top of Uluru which was quite memorable. After a short drive, we arrived near Uluru. After breaking into two small groups, our group walked to Mutitjulu waterhole with Will who was very informative throughout the tour. When we returned from the waterhole, we began our Segway training - each honing our skills on a training track. We then set off with Will on our trip around the rock. Once we mastered the segways, we were able to look around and take in the astounding beauty of our surroundings. We stopped regularly so Will could give us an informative chat about culture, history and geology … even a bit of biology. He was very knowledgeable! From pick up to drop off the tour was around 5 and a half hours. We were a bit disappointed to have to leave the segways behind and hop back on the bus. Overall, this was an absolute highlight and considering we did so much walking on our Uluru holiday, the Segway provided a welcome deviation! A brilliant way to see Uluru!
