All Penang Tours & Excursions in 2026

My friend and I booked this tour, and we were incredibly fortunate to have Mr. Joey Tan as our guide. He was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. He took us to every location on the itinerary and shared so much history, cultural insight, and fascinating background information along the way. The temples we visited were some of the most breathtaking places I have ever seen in my life. The final temple especially felt surreal — I truly didn’t know places like that even existed. What made the experience even more special was Mr. Joey’s kindness, patience, and genuine care for us throughout the day. We had mentioned that we only eat halal food, and he thoughtfully checked with restaurants to make sure we had suitable options. As two girls traveling together, we felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time, which meant so much to us. He was warm, humble, accommodating, and made the entire tour fun, relaxing, and memorable. If you are planning to book this tour, I highly recommend requesting Mr. Joey Tan. We had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide Ashline picked us up at the cruise terminal. She was very friendly and knowledgable. Ashline brought a large bag of fruit for us to feed the orangutans. There were only 2 other couples at the sanctuary so we were able to get pretty close to the orangutans for some great photos. We then returned to George Town where Ashline stopped to get us some delicious samosas for lunch. Then a tour of the area. We saw the street art & walked along Chew Jetty. We would have spent longer there but the intense heat was too much for us so Ashline returned us to our ship. Highly recommend this excursion.
