Outstanding trip to the Whitsundays

Outstanding scenery, beautiful swimming, incredible snorkelling and the best guides. Kate was our ‘deck hand’ for the day; she was so kind, considerate and totally looked after us on our wee hike to the viewpoints as well as taking us out and back from snorkelling. She was a real gem, looking out for us all as we peeked into the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. Ash, our boat skipper was brilliant too; down to earth and we felt very safe even when it was a wee bit bumpy! A very lovely buffet lunch was provided and the whole trip was a great balance of guided and our own time. I would highly recommend Big Fury as a provider for the Whitsundays experience.

Great customer service

Unfortunately due to our cruise ship tender being late we missed our flight. Our fault entirely for not giving enough time. The company very kindly refunded our cost even though we understood that it should have been non refundable. Their customer service was lovely and we would highly recommend them as a company. Hopefully next time we will be able to take the flight

A day packed with lots of different experiences. The waves were perfect for an adrenaline filled ride especially with Brent as the captain. The lookouts on the walk combined with James's First Nations description of how they were formed was fab. The snorkeling sites were magical- swimming through shoals of fish and seeing so many varieties of coral was an experience never to be forgotten. James and Brent were perfect guides- humorous, caring and professional.

Clean boat, friendly staff, beautiful sights & yummy food. I would choose this excursion again. Things I didn’t expect- if high tide, you will NOT see the infamous sandbar swirl in hill inlet at all. The bush walk at WHITEHAVEN BEACH has over 525 stairs to the top. They say that it is “steep” but they leave out a stair count. The wind was over 20 knots and the boat rocked a lot. I thought it might capsize at one point but it didn’t. I was worried but the staff wasn’t. :)

This is an amazing day...

This is an amazing day trip, great value for money. The crew are great and look after everything and take safety very seriously but with good humour. There is constant food and drinks throughout the day which is of a good standard. It’s very organised with plenty of time for the activities. The snorkelling was the highlight for us. This was the best...

This was the best experience I have ever had on any boat/island/snorkelling tour. Firstly the boat itself is amazing, the staff are extremely caring and friendly. We were provided with 2 tea times and an amazing lunch with much effort put it in. The trip was amazing, the boat was fun and fast to get us out to the reef for snorkelling. The crew on board were friendly, professional and good fun. The food and drinks offered was also great, plenty of choice and lots of it. The trip is definitely worth the cost to get round to the reef, Whitehaven beach and the hill inlet lookout in one day without feeling rushed at any of the places. The stinger suits provided were also good quality. Loved it.

Great day out highly recommended

Wings is a professionally run activity. We had only 10 people on the boat which was a bonus, but even the 25 usual would be fine. It is a big cat. Excellent fruit and savoury platters soon after boarding, pod coffee and big tea selection. Bring your own alcohol and soft drinks, lots of fridges to keep it cold. Good snorkelling near Langford Reef. Terrific lunch. Sailed home. All up a great day. We are a mid 60s couple.

Leaves you speechless

This is a sensational experience. Just amazing. We were fortunate to be blessed with a sensational day. The pilot was knowledgeable and informative. Be aware that if you have any mobility issues or you are physically big, the planes are small and space is tight. It is what it is and that is what allows you to have the experience. If there was a spare seat on a flight after ours I would’ve done it again in a heartbeat.
