Peter came to our hotel this morning and picked us up. It was the best road trip in a long time. Peter shared a lot of knowledge about the area between Alice Springs and Ayers Rock with us. He also made us feel that questions were truly welcome! His enthusiasm for the wildlife and nature of the Outback conveyed so well, and we gained a lot from this trip. We highly recommend the journey with Peter!

A great one-way journey

Robert_G, Feb 2026
It was a long ride but a great opportunity to see the terrain to Uluru. Our driver stopped twice: the emus at Erldunda was fun to watch and we stopped for photos at mt Connor and the salt lake. I had a hard time understanding our driver/narrator due to his accent.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hi Robert, Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the scenic journey to Uluru / Ayers Rock and the stops. We appreciate your note about the accent and will pass it along as we look for ways to make the narration even clearer for all guests.

Surprisingly pleasant trip!

The highlight was the driver. He was full of knowledge. It was awesome to hear all the wonderful information. Reuben was his name. I was expecting a boring early morning bus ride. But this was a very pleasant experience.

Perfect ride

Victor_M, Aug 2024
Great trip! The shuttle was comfortable with interesting commentary along the way. There were enough stops, and arriving around 1:30pm was perfect for checking in at the resort and exploring Uluru or Kata Tjuta in the afternoon.

Punctual and big coach

YingChen_B, Jun 2024
Driver gave a good briefing about Alice Spring, Ayer Rock and aboriginal cultures. Clean and big coach but air conditioner was not switched on initially. Good if all coaches drivers always switch on air conditioner despite outside cool weather as it was too stuffy with sealed window and I will have motion sickness. Thanks

Good.

Good driver. Safe travel. Clean bus. Expensive. They didn't get us to Camel Farm as it was written in the initerary.

Excellent trip

I want to thank Phil the driver who went out of his way to pick us up after the was a mix up with the times and pick up point, as printed on my voucher. The trip was comfortable, and the commentary was excellent. The country is stunning. Stops are well planned, and the places are very interesting.

Excellent and efficient

Tara_H, May 2024
The bus picked us up from our hotel as planned and the driver was efficient and helpful. He gave a commentary about interesting features we passed on the way, and an insight into Aboriginal life that was pertinent as we travelled towards Uluru. We had 3 comfort stops along the way. The journey passed very quickly and we were dropped in the resort on time. Thank you Reuben for making a potentially mundane journey very interesting and fun.

Strongly recommendable

Off course the bus is an official bus by AAT Kings but much easier to book through Viator then the bus company itself. And cheaper. Lovely driver! Great info on the region driving through. Water on board, toilet and good seats.

The driver is very friendly and experienced who makes the journey very enjoyable. You won’t be disappointed.

Terrible Bus Ride

John_B, Nov 2023
What will stick in my mind is the terrible bus that was provided for this excursion . Not a luxury bus as promised and although the driver and guide tried to communicate and tell about the history and interesting information it was impossible due to the noise and rattling of this vehicle. A terrible 6 hour endurance.

Excellent way to see the outback when you don't have a lot of time

Christina_L, Oct 2023
We loved our ride from Alice Springs to Yulara. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and the stops were very fun and well timed. I wish we could have gone another day!

An easy way to get to Uluru from Alice Springs if you don't want to drive

Genevieve_C, Oct 2023
Our driver Mack was very knowledgeable and shared lots of informations to make our trip feel shorter. The bus was very comfortable and it was like a plane trip with the landscape as a bonus! We made the obligatory stops at the roadhouses for toilet breaks and refreshments. We are in our 70s and we got there tired, but safe.

Road trip to Ayre Rock.

Marlene_N, Oct 2023
The ride was relaxed, not much people in the bus. Get a lot information from the driver. The trip was good.

Highly recommended - best value for money

Claudia_B, Oct 2023

More than a bus ride. Frequent stops and stories. It does not feel like a long bus ride. Comfortable.

Comfortable trip to Yulara

Sheree_A, Sep 2023
We enjoyed our trip from Alice Springs to Yulara with Barry as our driver. We enjoyed Barry’s stories along the way and feel there was a great mix of these and silence for us to enjoy the scenery. The coach was comfortable and we had three stops along the way.

Sites to see while someone else drives.

Eileen_L, Sep 2023
Nice way to get to the Red Centre. Colin, our driver, told us cool stories and history to keep us entertained.

Bus transfer with a bonus.

Ellen_K, Aug 2023
Transfer from Alice to Uluru. The bus driver was the best tour guide ever. He provided so much information along the way. Very interesting.

Great and easy way to get from Alice Springs to Yulara

Michele_R, Jul 2023
It was great. Smooth. They showed up in our hotel's allocated time, plenty of restroom and snack stops, and we got in on time. Our driver was friendly and shared a number of facts and observations but not so much that you couldn't rest if you wanted too. Highly recommend if you don't have a car.

Excellent experience with the best bus driver around

Michelle_D, Jun 2023
Our driver was fabulous. Very knowledgeable, excellent driver, lovely person and the places we stopped at were perfect for our needs. He made the trip feel like it went really fast.
