Our rally point was changed and we were never notified. Our tour guide Daniele came picked us at the location Vivator provided. What started off as stressful day became a wonderful experience thanks to Daniele. It’s not only his knowledge of Etna but also his passion for Etna that gave us a perspective that we don’t think anyone else could have given us. His friendliness and charm were admirable. You would definitely not be disappointed having him as your guide. It will a memorable tour because he goes the extra mile. At the end of the tour the only disappointment you will have is that you didn’t have enough time to be with Daniele. When you go for the light lunch they do not allow your tour guide to stay with you. They really should reconsider that because it gives you more time with your guide to discuss what you experienced. Best way to see Etna and learn about its history

Antonio made our day on Etna a truly memorable experience. Yes, it’s important to see the lava flows across the mountain and get a chance to hike through them. But from a granita stop, to a winery visit, to stops along the road to learn the smallest of details, we learned so much throughout the tour. He clearly loves what he does and that makes the best kind of guide. Throughout the tour, he was stopping to take pictures to send to us - plus did a drone shot in one area. Logistics were a breeze too. Despite booking last minute, he made sure we had clear instructions on how to meet our driver (Taormina isn’t conducive to easy navigation) and everything was taken care of each step of the way including protective equipment. I’d recommend this to almost anyone visiting. There were some kids and older travelers. This tour isn’t too grueling, but even if you want to do a hike to the top separately, thus is a good way to learn about the mountain before submitting and take in experiences from that are integral to Etna.

10/10 day trip! (Salvo is the best guide EVER)

First off, our guide Salvo was absolute perfection! He was so welcoming, kept everyone’s safety priority #1, and made sure we all had the absolute best time while giving us awesome flexibility. A few helpful notes for future travelers: -Logistics: The meeting point was easy to find, and the tour company sent super helpful text and email updates leading up to it. -The Drive: The drive to Mt. Etna takes about an hour and gets very winding. If you're prone to motion sickness, definitely bring medication! I don't get motion sickness all that often and it was rough for me, even. -The Hike: We’re mid-30s and fairly fit, but the altitude hit us harder than expected, so we opted to sit out the main Mt. Etna hike (we heard it was pretty tough!). There were easier alternative options available, but we decided to take it easy due to the elevation. Even with the bumpy start, the rest of the day was magic. Lunch in a charming small town was a massive highlight with incredible views, amazing local tastings, and a fantastic little spot. Afterward, Taormina was gorgeous! It was a scorching day, so we spent a lot of time relaxing in the shade of the public gardens, but the coastal views, shopping, and sights were unreal. Despite the rough drive, this was a total 10/10 experience! Salvo was super knowledgeable, and we loved having the freedom to take photos and explore at our own pace.

A Great Way to Experience Taormina

We had such a lovely afternoon with Alessandro. He made the history of Taormina and life in Sicily really interesting, sharing lots of local knowledge that you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed learning about and tasting the local wines at one of the stops. Alessandro was engaging, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his hometown. It was relaxed, informative and a great way to experience the authentic flavours and history of Taormina. We’d definitely recommend this tour.

Had the best time doing this as my first cooking class! It was a smaller group about 7 of us and I loved having the experience in the restaurant among diners. It made it more fun! Great time!

Had a wonderful time! With the help of Chef, his mamma and trusty sous chefs, we made 2 pasta dishes and 1 amazing fish dish. While pasta dough was rising we were treated to tomatoes and mozzarella. Everyone was able to contribute - crushing tomatoes, picking basil off the stem, sautéing veggies. It was very hot- but thy gave us lots of beverages to cool down. We shared a nice meal outside with our new friends.

Wine Tasting - Mount Etna

This wine tasting touring was awesome. It was around a hour drive with beautiful views from Taormina where we were staying. Our tour guide, Orazio, was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel easy. Gave us great background on the area, the wine, and Mount Etna without making it feel like a lecture. The wineries were beautiful, the wine was incredible, and the views around Etna were unreal. Could not recommend this experience enough. If you’re in Sicily and enjoy a little bit of drinking, this is absolutely worth doing.
