Don't miss this Godfather movie tour!

Peter was a wonderful guide on our journey through the Sicilian countryside. Taking us to 3 iconic locations used for filming the Godfather trilogy, he expertly navigated the winding roads while we enjoyed the scenery. He shared trivia on how the locations were used, how locals took part in creative ways, and how the locations have changed as a result of the notariety. We had a great time getting to know the other people in the group. We highly recommend this tour!

Amazing Tour. Great views! Well worth it!

What a fantastic trip in a beautiful setting! Marcello was a fantastic tour guide. We learnt a lot about Sicilian culture and the day was filled with lots of laughs! Not to be missed!

This is a not to be missed experience - we walked Lava flows (have sturdy shoes), saw mushrooms picking, learned all about the history of Etna, visited a small, family run vineyard and sampled six different wines each paired with the 3 course meal we were served. This all could not be done without our extremely knowledgable, warm, friendly guide, Massimo. His local knowledge of Mt. Etna is unrivaled! This is one of our favorite days and it was all down to Massimo. (He also recommended the restaurant where we had one of the best pizzas in Taormina!)

Five Stars! Great people made a rainy day fun and interesting!

We were fortunate that this tour was by Discover Messina Sicily!! Even though it rained and the boat part was cancelled they brought us to Messina to watch the Belll Tower at 12:00 which is really a beautiful experience with music and a moving Lion that Roars!! Our director Pepe was funny and gave us great ideas where to go in Tamorino. This was a 10 out of 10!!

Worth the trip-

The guide (Claudio)was very informative and nice small group of 8. Best to wear pants, good solid sneakers ( they provide hiking boots in advance) if you don’t have a jacket they will provide one for 5-10 Euros. Definitely take the tram up and then the heavy duty bus. There is an optional tour once there. Looks like you are on the moon!

Awesome day in Sicily

We agreed with Salvo on an 8 am pick up from our hotel in catania. He was there a bit early do we got a head start. Salvo provided a good amount of historical facts about Sicily and the areas we visited. Our first stop was Noto. A very nice town where we had free time to wander around. Then on to Neapolis the ancient architectural park, and lastly the very interesting Siracusa. Salvo provided a perfect balance between explaining historical events and allowing free time to explore on our own including a nice lunch in Siracusa. Also we felt safe as he is a good driver and his late model Mercedes was comfortable immaculately clean. I recommend this tour.

Good half day excursion

Being driven around alone was worth it as the views are spectacular. We didn’t really get a background on the mafia but the tour itself was great. Our guide knew his stuff and was a clear fan of the movies. I would recommend to anyone, even those not in love with the Godfather.

The highlight of our trip

The best tour with the most wonderful guide. We were staying a bit out of town for a pick up but our guide, Francesco, made sure we knew exactly where to go and updated us with the time on the morning of. He was enthusiastic and explained the plan for the day really clearly. The first half of the day was Etna, and he explained the options available to us on the day and that they weren’t included from the original tour as they might not always be possible with weather conditions. We opted for the hike which took us for an easy walk around the craters. Francesco gave us so much information and we stopped often for photos. I would really recommend the walk. There was an opportunity to purchase lunch before moving on to the next stop We then went to a small honey producer and sampled some local wines, olives and honeys. A short stop but allowed a toilet break and time to change into swimmers for the afternoon. We then went to the gorge and spent about 2 hours walking up the river and riding the water down. It was a bit cold but so much fun and you could decide how far to go up the river. This was definitely the highlight of the day. The place was spectacular and a cool off in the river was very welcome Thank you so much to Francesco for the highlight of our trip to Sicily! Please don’t think twice about booking this trip

Riccardo Made Our Visit Memorable

Riccardo was the absolute best! It was a lot of driving from Syracusa to the Villa Romana del Casale and then even more to Agrigento and back, but he talked to us about the history of the sites and some of the history of Sicily and the drive went by quickly. He took us to a great place for lunch and made sure that everything worked out perfectly. We had a fabulous time!

Nice Show

A rather brief show, but very entertaining. The performers were extremely talented and showed a little bit of humor for the last part of the show, which was very good. Not being experienced with opera’s, this was a nice introduction. It lasted about an hour and 15 minutes, including the 15 minute intermission.. I was a little disappointed at the number of people who were holding up their phones and filming during the performances. I felt that this was disrespectful to the performers and also takes away from the performance for the attendees. that said, I would certainly recommend to anyone.
