We really enjoyed the opera. It was our first night in Taormina. Since we got in late afternoon, it was a nice treat for something to do after dinner on the first day. The singers and pianist were excellent.

Decent sampler of opera

I should start by saying that I'm not knowledgeable about opera. This was a perfect-length sampling of operatic songs sung by a duo. The performance was the right length, at around an hour and 15 minutes. The singers sounded good. I'd have preferred it slightly if all of the pieces were really popular. As it was, I recognized maybe half. At $36, I'm giving it 5 stars.

The Italian Opera is a nice way to spend a couple of hours in the evening. All the performers were brilliant and entertaining. We got the basic ticket but sat in the 3rd row (it’s not a big theatre) front 2 rows were reserved for the VIP tickets. I was looking forward to the interval on the veranda where a glass of Prosecco was waiting for us. I thought we would have an interrupted view of Taormina at night but the veranda was enclosed by a wire fence so not what I was expecting.

I never thought i would enjoy opera, but i did. My wife cried. It was very good. Everything was as promised. Only bad was Viators lack of desription for the address. It is there, but hidden amongst all other info. Very easy to find physically.

Easily walkable from the centre of Taormina. Popular arias from well know operas with a tenor and soprano accompanied by a pianist. Charming little theatre with drinks and snacks provided in the interval. Starts at 9:15 pm and lasts for a couple of hours. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This opera experience was just right. I wanted to experience Italian opera while in Italy, but did not think I could sit through a whole full opera so this really hit the spot. It's a small intimate theater with excellent singers and musicians. The only problem was that it was difficult to find and surprisingly none of the shopkeepers could give us directions
