Charlie was the most amazing driver/guide/person we could have ever hoped for. I could spend the whole day writing about our day out with him. We had the most incredible experience with our driver in Kaohsiung. From the moment he picked us up, he was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted, adjusted the itinerary to fit our interests, and never once made us feel rushed. He taught us so much about this beautiful country. He took us through beautiful countryside, temples, Monkey Mountain, and hidden scenic spots we never would have found on our own. His driving was safe and smooth the entire day, and he was so thoughtful and accommodating with my family. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. What stood out most was his kindness and heart. This did not feel like a standard tour — it felt like spending the day with someone who genuinely wanted us to fall in love with Taiwan. We absolutely did. If you are considering booking this tour, do it. This was the highlight of our entire trip, and we will remember this experience forever. Daniel our guide was absolutely fantastic, can’t recommend her enough. Professional, friendly, punctual, helpful, trustworthy and just a lovely person - an absolute credit to your company and Country. We all had a fantastic time with the two places that we wanted to go. Didn’t feel rushed, Daniel came with us to show us around and to help with any language barriers. Got back to the cruise port with in plenty of time for all aboard.

Highly recommended experience with Taiwan TST - Our tour operator Maggio customised our trip based on the weather. Which was so personally managed and as a result we ended up booking 2 extra tours with them as the service was exceptional. Our Driver Mr Xie is the best - he ended up playing all my fav playlists also and drove us around tirelessly for 2 days. Big THANK YOU

This private tour was such a great experience! My review is based on the itinerary, the guide, and the value of a private tour. Itinerary: We knew we wanted to see some of these sights outside of Taipei, and it was arranged quite well to fit in a lot in a compact day without ever feeling rushed. There was also quite a bit of flexibility built in to the agenda. We felt like we saw touristy sightseeing spots without feeling like they were simple, shallow hops. Guide: A was hands-down amazing, and we’d gladly book & request her again in the future. My parents already have future trips to Taiwan planned and will be booking through this company and guide again. A was an extremely efficient and smooth driver, despite the rain, the winding mountain roads, and bits of traffic. She had plenty of professional commentary to share about the sites, extended extra courtesy and hospitality to my elderly parents (age 78 & 80), and we even had great conversations about coffee, food, and nutrition. We were also impressed by her ability to comfortably float between English, Taiwanese, and Mandarin to accommodate our various levels of language proficiency. Really couldn’t recommend An higher. Private tour: This is really the way to go, especially to preserve the magic of a family vacation. Memories, comfort, and experience are worth the investment, if you can afford it. Highly recommend it, especially for such a long day of travel.

After exiting baggage claim, my private driver was at the designated area for passenger pick up service. He had a board up with my name written on it. I approached him. We greeted and he led me outside to a designated place to wait while he went to get his car. His vehicle was a clean comfortable minivan. He loaded my 2 luggage and we headed to my hotel. He gave me a bottle of water as I was seated. As we were riding along, he pointed out areas we were passing and made suggestions of places to visit in accordance to my interests, as well as places to eat, night markets info, etc. When we arrived at my hotel, he unloaded my bags and gave me a Taipei map of undiscovered places, in English and the native language guide, and a guide to Muslim friendly travel. I was very pleased with my experience with this company and my private driver.

Wonderful and relaxing day touring Yangmingshan National Park. Our delightful guide from Edison Tours was terrific. He had excellent English and knew a great deal about the park. He follows the itinerary perfectly, kept us all on track, and knew when to talk and guide then give us free time. He provided excellent, clear directions and descriptions for all out stops and even helped take some great photos for us. I probably would not have had a chance to visit the park on my own during my stay in Yaiwan, so taking this trip proved to be a pleasure and long, busy, but highly enjoyable day. We even made a stop at the "greenhouse" at the park for a very traditional Chinese lunch and it was not only a wonderful cultural experience, but the garlic and chicken soup I ordered was delicious and perfect for the day. Edison Tours, incidentally, was extremely efficient and clear with their communications and meeting directions. Super cheerful, friendly, helpful.

A truly amazing and fun experience. The entrance was a little confusing to find if you are very familiar with the area. The restaurant workers next door were able to point me in the right direction! The instructors were so friendly and patient. Makes even the most novice chef feel like a pro. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who wants a half day activity. We had the most incredible day exploring Taiwan with our tour guide, Oliver. He took us to Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, the Golden Waterfall, the Yehliu Geopark, and even made a special stop for us to light a lantern and make wishes—plus several other thoughtful stops along the way. His timing was *perfect*; we always arrived just before the big bus tours, which made every experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Oliver was not only knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history and stories about Taiwan—but also genuinely personable and so easy to chat with. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had made a new friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Skip the crowded big bus options and book this tour instead. You’ll get a much more intimate, meaningful, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
