Wet Adventure

We had a great time!! Tony was a fountain of knowledge and kept us on track the whole way through. We saw the rocks, the waterfall, the cute little town and then we set off a big lantern into the sky - and they arranged everything. Also met some great friends along the way. Highly recommend!! But one tip - bring rain gear! It is a tropical island after all.

Great way to see sites outside of Taipei.

We covered a lot of distance and got to see varied sites, from a geological park, to an old coal town, to a bustling traditional market, and a waterfall. Our guide Bubbles was knowledgeable and flexible in accommodating our plans. His tour was a good balance of time with him showing us things and explaining them and also free time to ourselves. We got to see a lot more of Taiwan on our limited schedule than we would have without him and this tour.

Totally Enjoyed Shiu Fen Waterfallls

It was very enjoyable as Vincent, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to the scenic sites. He also acted us our director and told us where to take the scenic shots. We totally enjoyed ourselves at the Shiu Fen waterfall and the old Chiu Fen market where we passed by food stalls. I give it 5 stars for a very helpful and entertaining guide.

Fantastic day in Taipei!

I traveled to Taipei alone and had Sean as my personal guide for the day. He came to the Grand Hyatt to pick me up. Before we left the hotel, he asked me what I wanted to see, providing suggestions as this was my first visit to Taiwan. He made sure I saw the main sites. I requested that we avoid spending too much time in museums as I wanted to see more of the city. He was very amenable to that request. For lunch he took me to an amazing soup dumpling restaurant that rivals Din Tai Fung. The two of us had an amazing lunch for $25. Also, I ask a lot of questions. Sean provided me with a wealth of information about culture and religion in Taiwan. I can only hope to remember half of the information he provided. I highly recommend Sean for your visit to Taiwan!

Tour was great, covered many activities for the day. Due to approaching typhoon, Yeliu portion had to be canceled as it was closed. They made last minute arrangements and took us to another geopark which was fantastic in my opinion. Our tour guide Frances did such a wonderful job. She shared details of each activity in great depth, where to go what to do and maps how to head back to the bus. She shared details of how to prepare in a typhoon. She’s very thorough. After the tour ended, Frances even helped me catch a taxi in pouring rain. I would love to attend another tour guided by Frances.

Solo Traveler experience

Alan is a Great Guide - hopefully you will be with him ! I chose the English / Mandarin tour group rather than the English / German and got him … he explains every detail even how to get to the spa on the hotels ( which sometimes can be challenging ) showing in the bus pictures of what to do and what’s included ! That also reflects on the rest of the tour … and you may think it might be too much but he gives it a very light funny approach making all very so easy ! Everything is thought in detail … even meal options as those are not included ! It made it feel really easy … The group was also amazing everyone from different backgrounds but friendly and funny the whole 5 days … the only thing not so good is the price as they charge a lot for solo travelers making it less accessible but if you are travelling in two - it’s quite a bargain to be honest for all that’s included and the quality of accommodations and tour itself !

This was such an amazing adventure. We’re so glad we did it. Tony was an awesome guide who kept us well informed all the way. The entire trip was well orchestrated and we saw some beautiful scenery, including a tea plantation. The tea museum was a great stop, very informative. Then the tea ceremony to finish off was really impressive. We learned a lot about tea and taste. There were opportunities to purchase the teas we tasted. We are a family of five on a private tour. Tony, picked us up at our accommodation bang on time. He also communicated with us a day before the tour and gave us instruction what to bring. We didn’t feel rushed. We had been given ample time to enjoy the sceneries. Tony took us to a seafood restaurant. We didn’t have enough cash so Tony paid part of it and I paid him back after finding an ATM. This day trip is worth it. You feel relax with enough space to sit not feeling cramped. Tony treated us to Jiufen’s local delicacy of peanut ice cream wrap. It was delicious. I wish I had more. We missed the waterfall. It was our fault that we ran out of time. Tony was kind enough to compensate it, he allowed us to stop at Taipei 101 for a quick picture taking. I highly recommend booking your tour with Aviator. They are reliable.
