Try foods you never knew existed!
My guide Liam was a pleasure to be around. So helpful and fun and he knew all the facts. The foods we tried were way crazier than I expected but you will come out of this tour with a great story. I encountered other solo travelers on this Friday night tour so that was a plus.

Night Market Tour with Vicky
My wife and I would highly recommend this tour with Vicky. It was raining a bit but she was undaunted and didn’t let a little rain dampen the tour. She made great food recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the history of the market snd nearby landmarks.

Garen was perfection
Garen was incredible. I changed the time for our tour multiple times and even the day due to travel hiccups and illness. She was so flexible and responsive. Once we finally did meet though, we were so impressed that she knew mandarin, Cantonese, and English. She was energetic and full of information. Patient with both my elderly mother and young tired kids. She was incredible and her own history with Taiwan is interesting as well. Please book her. She took pictures of our family, gave us great tips about the city, and is such an amazing person. Ask for Garen and book this tour.

Pauline is extremely...
Pauline is extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. We learned a lot about the local history and culture. What we learned carried a long way in our following days in Taipei. We asked about culture, local activities and Pauline answered in great details with passion. Food Tastings were absolutely amazing and delicious. Prepare to be full!

Best way to see Taipei
This is an international experience with amazing conversation and discussion about Taiwan! The breakfast and tea treat are quite refreshing breaks for the bike ride! You’ll meet like minded people who enjoy cycling too! Make sure you know how to ride a bike or you’ll be turned away; I only bring this up because the tour guide mentioned this has happened before. The locals ride their bikes often so if you want a local feel this is definitely worth it! The bicycling was an awesome experience but the company and exchange of ideas and experiences was even better! One last tidbit is the views of a the city are awesome and you get a lot of recommendations of places to come back to again and again!

Exceptional and delicious learning experience
What an extraordinary experience it was to learn all about the art of making xia long bao, niu rou mien, and boba cha. The cooking studio was very professional, well laid out and impeccably clean. We made our soup dumpling dough from scratch and learned the right techniques for filling and folding them close. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this experience to all, young and old, families and singles.

Worth every dollar
Jackie was a fantastic guide. He gave us lots of information about the places we visited and knew exactly where the best foto opportunities were. He took lots of fotos that he then sent to me. The geo park was interesting, Shifen was amazing , and even though it started to rain when we arrived in the evening at Jiufen, we still got to see the main shopping area and view. He had arranged a restaurant for us to have dinner. We were there on a Thursday with very few people around and with the rain many stalls were closed or closed earlier than usual. Still, well worth it.

Everything was great, and...
Everything was great, and Ivy was very accommodating. Her English was perfect!! We got to see the entire Night Market and had fun!
Only issue, and I'm sure it's corrected now...
The address we were meeting at for the tour. was incorrect on the Viator information-- I'm sure it's been fixed now.

A good food tour
Dave was a considerate tour guide and we had twelve tasting including a tea. The dishes were the following. He was able to accommodate nut and seafood allergy from two guests. We had 12 people. A large group
- pork blood cake. Not as bad as it sounds
- braised pork rice with braised tofu and green veggie on the side
- stinky tofu very tame
- grass jelly tea
- gua bao with pork belly
- wheel pie with custard cream
- scallion cake too oily - cooked in same oil as shrimp cakes. So no good for my daughter with seafood allergy
- peanut roll with ice cream
- sweet potato balls - airy mochi balls
- tiny shot of Chinese liquor - 38% alcohol. Nice finish and surprise
Overall a nice walk around dihua neighborhood and end in ningxia market
$50 a person is a bit pricey since the food probably only cost about $10-12 total but it’s nice to meet people from Australia, England and America and hear a little explanation of the food and also stop by a temple in the middle. He also lead us to fairly clean bathroom during tour. Very helpful since I had to go twice. Overall we liked it

Be Prepared to be Stuffed!
Had a great time hanging out with Skyler. She was quite knowledgeable and gave a detailed explanation of the various food he had throughout the tour, which by the way was a lot of food. Was happily stuffed by the end. She was also friendly, easy to speak with, and very down-to-earth. Couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Fun In Taipei
Jackson met us at the cruise terminal. Our first stop was the Chaing Kai-Shek Memorial. Since I’m a bird nerd, Jackson took us around the gardens for quite some time while I photographed birds. We then visited the memorial building. We wanted to go to the jade market, so that was our second stop where we spent 30 minutes. We went to the Grand Hotel for a delicious lunch and to check out this beautiful hotel. Some of our group of 4 wanted to do some shopping, so Jackson dropped us off at a shopping area. Next we went to the National Palace Museum. Our day was tailor made for our interests and Jackson was extremely accommodating and fun to be with. We made a new friend and will definitely use him again the next time we are in Taiwan. The day was fantastic!

5 Stars — A Tour That Changed How I See Taiwan.
Leo is not just a tour guide. He is a storyteller, a historian, and a passionate ambassador for his people, and this tour should be every visitor’s very first activity in Taiwan. He brought the history and heart of this country to life in a way that is deeply educational, completely captivating, and impossible to forget. What moved me most is that Taiwan lives under a shadow of political uncertainty most of us cannot imagine, yet its people are vibrant, warm, and awe inspiring in everything they have built despite it.
All eight of my family members left forever changed, and we have been spreading our love for Taiwan everywhere we go. I hope the other 30 to 40 people in our group are doing the same, because this country and its people deserve to be celebrated. Leo, you did not just show us a city. You gave us a country to love, and we do, with our whole hearts.
