What are people saying about Taipei

Garen was perfection
Garen was incredible. I changed the time for our tour multiple times and even the day due to travel hiccups and illness. She was so flexible and responsive. Once we finally did meet though, we were so impressed that she knew mandarin, Cantonese, and English. She was energetic and full of information. Patient with both my elderly mother and young tired kids. She was incredible and her own history with Taiwan is interesting as well. Please book her. She took pictures of our family, gave us great tips about the city, and is such an amazing person. Ask for Garen and book this tour.

Alex, our guide, was...
Alex, our guide, was super-friendly and extremely knowledgeable about locations and history of Taipei and Taiwan. The food choice was outstanding and the ride was straightforward and comfortable, even though it rained on us the whole time. A great introduction to the real city.

Flexible and will accommodate you layover duration. MADE MY SOLO LAYOVER STRESS FREE.
I was traveling alone on a tight layover, and my guide, Jack Chou made everything smooth and stress‑free. He arrived right on time, brought me to the Longshan Temple and Chiang Kai Shek memorial, Taipei 101 area and took me to my requested restaurant --Din Tai Fung where he even used an app to skip the wait. He showed me a proper way to eat dumplings. I felt safe and looked after the entire time. He made sure I got back to the airport with time to spare. Truly the perfect layover experience. Thank you so much Jack Chou, because of you, I learned so much about Taiwan History, Food and Culture and will be reading more about it.

An outstanding cooking class and experience!
This is an easy 5/5.
Our instructor, Chelsea, was outstanding. You can tell she’s not just teaching recipes—she has a bigger mission of sharing Taiwan with the world through its food and culture. That really comes through in the class, which feels both personal and purposeful.
The setup is also a big step above most classes I’ve done. It’s held in a professional studio kitchen (not someone’s home), and the whole experience is incredibly well organized. There are assistants helping prep ingredients and clean as you go, so you can stay fully engaged in the cooking without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
The class itself is very hands-on and a lot of fun. We made Xiao Long Bao, beef noodle soup, and boba tea, with a strong focus on the dumplings. Learning the full process—from rolling the dough, to filling it with the soup-rich pork mixture, to folding and pinching each dumpling—was both challenging and rewarding. (Let’s just say mine didn’t look perfect, but they tasted amazing.)
Along the way, Chelsea shared great insights into Taiwanese cuisine and culture, which made the experience even more meaningful. Selecting the right cooking class can be a bit overwhelming; If you select CookInn Taiwan you will not be disappointed.
If you’re visiting Taipei and want something interactive, memorable, and genuinely authentic, I can’t recommend this class enough.

Our tour guide was...
Our tour guide was excellent! She stayed with us from beginning to end. She really took care of us was there when we walked off plane communicated things well. Helped us with translation and communicating with salesmen. She even walked us back into airport when done with your and made sure we got to correct gate. I would highly recommend if you have a long layover in Taipei.

Excellent experience!
This was an amazing day deftly coordinated by our guide/driver. We saw so much in a short period of time but never felt rushed. History, local culture, customs, and context were shared at each stop with a personal touch. Our personal requests were cheerfully accommodated and additional recommendations for our guide enhanced our experience. We'd asked to go to a local place for lunch, and it was an excellent experience. I booked (50's female) and drug along my two teen sons (18, 14) and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the day. Over the last several weeks we've done tours in Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kyoto, etc., and this was by far the best. I cannot recommend it enough!

Outstanding Tour Even in thr Rain!
What an outstanding day we had in Taipei with YOLO Tours! Our guide, "Roger," was knowledgeable, personable, and kind. He showed us around the best sights in a private excursion and even managed to work around the rain. If you're traveling to Taipei, I can't recommend him highly enough!
