Unfortunately we didn't see Nessie, so I guess we'll have to come back. The countryside and the stops were gorgeous, and the food recommendations were great.

Kylie, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. It was a great introduction to the Highlands for a first time visitor. Bring snacks and food so that you can make the most of the stops. Layers for all seasons and good, waterproof shoes are also highly recommended. Definitely made us both want to return for a longer time.

Fun & Informative Tour

This was a great and informative tour! We had a lot of fun and would highly recommend. One thing to note, while the tour guide is not allowed in the various buildings in the castle, the price includes access to everything on site. We didn't realize that and had bought separate entrance tickets, which we didn't need. Also, make sure to do a tour in the morning so you are in the grounds at 1:00 for the firing of the gun. Fun!

Excellent tour!

Amazing experience touring Loch Ness. The boat ride was fantastic and the commentary on the history and sites were top notch. The tour of the castle was also super interesting. Loved the balance of guided tour versus freedom to self discover. Perfect amount of time too - just what we were looking for!!

Tour was great! Driver (Mike) and tour guide (Terry) were both wonderful! I was a little concerned about some reviews stating that you were on the bus too long, but multiple stops were made for picture opportunities and snack/toilet breaks. The point of the tour was to view the highlands and that was certainly achieved! My only suggestion is to add more cows to the tour (but I also feel you can never have enough cows haha!) Overall I would certainly recommend this tour!

Worth the Time

Our guide, Ross, was engaging and knew so many small details that you really wouldn’t have realized, unless you did a deep search on history and we got back to our hotel and did a deep dive on everything he told us, including the small details and it was wonderful! This is what you want in a tour guide, somebody who can project their voice over all the talking and who knows little details and is quite happy to be doing their job!

From meeting Jordan we were a small group who attended this tour and it was obvious that we might to be onto a winner. Jordan was informative and we already knew some interesting historical facts before entering the vaults. I can confirm that if you are of a nervous disposition this tour may be enough to quench your thirst. I'm not adverse to a bit of intrigue but I'm glad we didn't do the haunted tour. We had a lovely trip...

We had a lovely trip exploring the Scottish Highlands. Our Driver Mako was a great guy, deep historical and trivial knowledge along fun commentary of every day events. His taste of music was good and he did not blast it. Half a day trip even-though not driving on a bus is not the easiest thing for a 2 day touristic trip in Edinburgh but this one with an experienced and chill guy like Mako was fun. I really enjoyed Lochness and castle Urquhart. We also had some good food in Mroh 84. Venison pie was quite nice.

This tour was so much fun if you’re a golfer or not. Our tour guide Eric was so much fun and knowledgeable about Scottish history. Even if you’re not a golfer Saint Andrews has so much more to offer!
