Nice behind the scenes tour
This was an interesting way to see behind the scenes at the Palazzo Vecchio. Our guide was informative and friendly. Your tour meets in the ticket office where you check in and get a ticket then meet your guide. After the tour you have plenty of time to visit the museum. Apparently the lunch or gelato are on your own, but I forgot to get the gelato.

Pallazo Vecchio small tour
We have the best luck with our viatour tours! They have the most knowledgeable guide guides and the small tour exceeded expectations. This is a can’t miss spot on your Florence tour.

So worth it!
So glad we had Lorenzo as our guide. It was two of us and another couple - small group was ideal for us. All questions were answered with great detail. We never felt rushed. Absolutely worth it to have a guide - makes me wonder what I missed in the places I visited without one.

Lively, engaging guide, great storyteller who answered lots of questions. The tour was over before we knew it- it was terrific!

  • Most of Palazzo Vecchio is dedicated to the museum showcasing Renaissance art and architecture, but the building is also still the seat of local government and home to the mayor’s office and city council.

  • While backpacks and bags are not allowed inside the Palazzo Vecchio museum, lockers are available for a fee.

  • Most of the palazzo is accessible to wheelchairs, with the exception of the tower and mezzanine level.
