A great tour—yummy food, great company
The tour was great. The food was very good. Our tour guide provided us a great experience. There were opportunities to connect with the other travelers which added to the memories. Our tour ended with great fanfare with rain and hail! Luckily our last stop was yummy gelato which was across the street from a store that sold umbrellas!

Enjoyable Food Tour
Food was excellent. It was great to see a different neighborhood other than the main district. History of Venice and neighborhood was great. Vanessa was excellent and enjoyable company. Given that it was just our family she adapted our interests and food tastes along the way.

Vanessa was a terrific guide--knowledgeable, friendly, willing to indulge us in small side trips. The food choices were delicious too.

  • Tours of Cannaregio include a fair amount of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and a sun hat.

  • The quiet backstreets of the Cannaregio are easier to manage with kids than the crowded areas around Piazza San Marco.

  • Ponte delle Guglie has recently added ramps, making it one of the few Venetian bridges that’s wheelchair accessible.

  • Venice has six districts: Castello, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Marco, Santa Croce, and San Polo. Cannaregio borders Castello and a tiny corner of San Marco; it’s situated across the Grand Canal from Santa Croce and San Polo.
