We had a great food tour and would highly recommend it! It took us down charming local streets that we never would have explored on our own. The food was delicious and truly authentic to Venice. It was a wonderful way to experience the city beyond the typical tourist spots.

The perfect first night activity in Venice. Our guide Olympia arranged tastings of local food and wine for us. We had plenty! My husband and I, traveling with our 22 yr old sons, enjoyed tasting the various cicchetti and wine / spritz. Olympia was a resource of information on Venice. We very much enjoyed our evening and her hospitality, and we revisited a few of the spots during our vacation!

Delicious food tour

It was a lot of walking but well worth it. We stopped at 5 places and each stop was delicious and included wine. One stop was a small st down dinner ending with gelato. Definitely would recommend

Giovanni was out guide and is a chatty fellow who gave us a lot of information about Venice as well as the background of the foods we had during the tour. Some of the food we had was not appetizing to some of the group as they were averse to seafoodif which some was a bit strongly fishy. Drinks were served at each stop and the choices were wine, prosecco, spritz, or soft drinks. The amount of food and drink was plenty and a little too much for some. Overall, it was enjoyable walking around the city, sampling foods, and meeting other travelers.

It was a very relaxed, informative experience and the food was delicious. Our tour guide Serena was helpful, enthusiastic and super friendly. It’s also nice that we were a small group of 9 people so I didn’t feel like we were getting in anyone’s way when we were walking around.

Olympia was great guide for our family of 4! She took us to great spots and great food! She got my picky eater to try squid ink pasta!! (Then she sent him off to the bathroom to wash his face when he was done!) He listened better to her than he did to us! Thanks for a great evening!

Wonderful food tour with Irene! The food was all great and the locations were amazing! Lots of fun with Irene who was a wealth of local knowledge. She made sure we were all happy with the food and even accommodated special requests. You won’t leave this tour hungry and will visit some out of the way local restaurants/taverns!

Our host/guide Giovanni was a wonder. Extremely knowledgeable of the sites and history of Venice. Very personable and he took us to stops not always visited by tourists to give us a hint of the local flavor (and drinks) of Venice. I would highly recommend booking him in particular.

Disappointed and bad communication

First there was confusing communication with Viator. I received an email saying that the tour time had changed and I confirmed that days before the actual tour. On the day of the tour, I reached out to Viator to confirm that the time had been changed. The operator said no no the time did not change And told me the time was the original time. That was not true. Therefore. my husband and I ended up waiting an extra hour for the tour to start not knowing what was going on. Then, according to the description of the tour, it said light walking. That was not the case, we ended up walking a full kilometer up and down downstairs at a very quick pace according to the tour guide, we had to walk fast because of the timing. I have a disability and could not keep up with the pace with all the stairs. Had I known this was going to be the situation I would not have chose this tour. Additionally, the food on this tour, except for one the last one was not very good. I would not recommend this tour
