I had a wonderful experience. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We made it to all our destinations on time. I definitely felt safe. I would recommend this tour for anybody.
It was a great experience! The pickup situation requires a bit of communication, after that all parts of the trip are worth it. The breakfast in the cave is nice and the pyramids tour guides are awesome!
Our Teotihuacan tour was great. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable! One thing I think we would have liked would have been if from the outset someone—perhaps the overall guide Safiro or the driver who picked us up had given us a “chat” about tourism in the Teotihuacan area and the role of Pueblo’s mágicos in supporting local artisans and people involved in tourism with the pyramids. I was able to learn about all of this when I asked Safiro what the purpose was of taking people to do cocoa workshops and to the artisan shop. Safiro explained what I mentioned above about pueblos mágicos and also that the pyramids are the past but the people and towns supporting the tourism of the pyramids are the present—so bringing people to visit these other areas helps visitors to learn and to economically support. Hearing an explanation from the outset would have helped us understand the context and I think would have helped us feel valued rather than unwitting tourists who can be duped. We had seen people comment online about experiencing a “bate and switch”—that you are buying one thing but given another.

Scam, they don’t bring you to the popular cave restaurant in the picture. Instead you go to a sketchy small hole in the wall cave.
Also they force you into a 1 hour unskipable sales pitch where they try to make you buy carved obsidian statues. They act like they are hand carved but are really mass manufactured.
Our tour guide for the actual pyramid part was great though.
Abel was awesome and very informative!
The pyramids were so beautiful.
Loved the artisanal part too.
The experience was great from pick up communication to location drop off at all our activities. I want to give a special shoutout to our driver Ruben Caratachea - he was very kind and informative.
The breakfast in the Cave was excellent. Saphiro the supervising guide was charming and helpful. The guide in the pyramids (Alexandro?) was also excellent as were the hosts at the Rock factory and chocolate place.
Everyone was genuinely nice throughout the tour. The tour operator made sure that this was an experience I would not forget.

Jonathan took care of us. Abel really knows his stuff. The food in the cave is not impressive for the price
The trip was average in my opinion. There was 5 of us excluding the driver. I was at the front massager seat, 2 in the middle row and 2 at the third row but the car is not meant to sit 2 adults at the third row so I feel sorry for them. The cave breakfast is not what it shown in the picture. It was a small cave, felt being rip off. The pyramid tour was relatively simple. The tour guide has strong Spanish accent (which is not his fault) so I was struggling to understand what he said. Overall I will not go with this tour as I feel it was too expensive paying £80+ for this trip knowing there were cheaper tours with better experience according to my friends who did that.

The bus driver was 20 minutes late. Blasted musics and no AV, plus didn’t speak English so couldn’t tell us how long the drive is. Took almost two hours and we were on a bus with a two and three year old who were kicking seats and loud. The chocolate shop and souvenir shop felt like a big sales pitch! The tour was advertised as 5 or 6 hours but took 8 hours so we missed our afternoon activities. Do not do this tour, there are so many better ones!! If I had to do over I would over to the pyramids myself and back and be done in 4 hours vs 8. Also, this tour is not for two year olds, it ruins the experience for all others. Do not do this tour!!!
The night before our tour I received a whatsapp message that the pickup time had been changed. I didn't see the message since I don't receive notifications from whatsapp. We got ready as quickly as possible when we learned the driver was an hour early. The driver drove so fast and aggressively it we were concerned for our safety. Once we got to our venue all of the guides were excellent. We took other tours on this trip and the other providers contacted us through Viatour so I received an email. When I booked the trip it was supposed to be a private tour. There was a couple on the tour with us. The tour was supposed to be in English, they spoke Spanish so it was in both languages, I think something was lost doing it that way. They were lovely and we are glad we met them but this is not what we expected. I have used Viatour many times and this is the first bad experience I have had.
An absolutely fabulous day! We had a delicious breakfast in a cave, tasted local beverages, toured an obsidian market, saw the ancient city of Teotihuacán and finished at a chocolate class. I beautiful way to spend the day, with fabulous guides at every step.
It was a wonderful, beautiful experience. From the transportation to and from the different locations... the breakfast at the cave, the pyramid tour, chocolate processing and tasting location, every person involved in the tour are very professional. Our family enjoyed the full tour experience. Thank you.
The temple tour and experience with the stones and agave were excellent. My friends and I found really nice jewelry and tequila. The only thing we didn’t care for as much was the chocolate event. It was indicated that we would be making and tasting chocolate. Meh…a few people got to crush some cacao seeds and we tasted it in little plastic spoons. The breakfast was mid but the cave was beautiful. Our guide, Abel was amazing.
All good. Driver came on time and was very professional and nice person to talk to. Salma was waiting for us. Breakfast was good. Visit at the stone shop good with a great explanation by Ricardo. Tourist guide at the pyramids was super good.
I'd registered for the 11 am experience for three of us - "Guided tour Teotihuacan with Cave Breakfast/Transportation," and when we arrived we were told only the 8am tour included breakfast. I showed my confirmation that clearly stated we were to have the breakfast and were told we could be taken to a local restaurant, but would have to pay for the breakfast. When I pressed the issue I was shown a link with small print that said we were not entitled to the cave breakfast despite what my confirmation said. I stood my ground and we were taken to the cave for a tasty meal. From there we were taken to a large building that housed regional crafts and were given some demonstrations, and a very heavy-handed sales pitch for various items. Once we got to the pyramids and met our excellent guide Abel the day took a turn and we had a great time, learned a lot. My advice if booking: check the small print, keep your confirmation handy!
Tour was brilliant, great to experience the pyramids and surrounding areas. Tour guides were amazing and provided a lot of information along the way
We had a lovely time for the most part, but the final activity left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. We encountered a salesperson who made a discriminatory/racist remark toward us as a Hispanic couple. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff was nice, but we won't be returning to Villa Tlaloc after being treated that way
It was such an amazing tour! The food was great and the pyramids and then all the tastings. We went with two kids and we all had a great time! Abel was so knowledgeable and friendly!
Had an amazing time on the tour. Learnt so much history thanks to the amazing guides! Driver was perfectly on time and very helpful.

This tour was very well advertised but it wasn’t that great unfortunatly. The tour stated that it will pick you up from your hotel. However, many of the hotels are outside of their pick up range so it required you to take an transportation to a different location. The driver was over 15 minutes late and didn’t speak any English. They then drove us 45 min to a random souvenir store, where we had to listen about a lecture of rocks with a different person instead of going right to the pyramids it felt like a huge tourist trap. We then got another driver who did speak English and gave us a pretty good tour of the pyramids. After that they took us to a cave for lunch however, it is not the cave that you see advertised. It was a much smaller cave with very mediocre food in the side of someone’s like house. They then didn’t take us to any chocolate tasting. I would recommend doing a different tour or being ok with a long stop at a souvenir store instead of going right to the pyramids. It was very expensive for what it was.
I had a wonderful day exploring! Karim was a wonderful driver - he was patient with my Spanish speaking and pointed out unique sites on our car trip. The breakfast in the cave was delicious, and the cave was beautiful. Salma was so kind, very attentive to my comfort and knowledgeable about the area. Abel took me around the pyramids and reviewed the history in great detail. He also helped me conquer my fear of heights in climbing up and down the pyramids. Bring a little money to purchase some knick knacks from the agave and chocolate stores. It was a wonderful day from start to finish!
This one day tour is strongly recommended for anyone traveling in Mexico City. The long history you would feel in person and the unique experience you wouldn't want to miss. The team worked great from picking up to whole day arrangements.
The tour overall was good but I had booked with lunch option only to find out that lunch was not included as part of the tour.
An absolutely lovely experience that I enjoyed thoroughly. The tour guide was excellent, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely kind. I especially loved the cave restaurant we visited right after the pyramid tour; the food was delicious and the cocktails were fantastic. Overall, it was a truly deluxe experience, and I would highly recommend it
Salma was delightful. Breakfast was good and the cave was a treat. The gallery was impressive. The pyramids are amazing. Ending the day with chocolate was excellent. Great job!
We thought we were going to a different cave for breakfast but the one we taken to was great! The food was delicious. We had a great time at the pyramids! So beautiful.
This tour was amazing and we had a wonderful time. Everyone involved was super knowledgeable and helpful and spoke wonderful English and Spanish. But it’s not getting the full 5 stars is for two reasons. First, because we were the late pickup the itinerary got switched around and we ate lunch last rather than first. But maybe because we thought lunch was first on the list we didn’t eat breakfast so by the time we ended up eating anything it was very late. This wasn’t necessarily the fault of the tour, but maybe it could have been more clear that the order of things changes based on what time the tour starts. Also, we felt a tremendous pressure to spend a lot of money at the gift shop before we even saw the pyramids at all. Our very first stop was to this cool artisan compound where we learned a lot about the local plants and cultures, which was so cool, but that tour ended at the gift shop and we felt the pressure to spend money and we hadn’t even seen the pyramids yet. That was a bit weird but we got a couple souvenirs and moved on. Minor annoyances aside, it was an excellent day full of wonderful information and because no one else had booked the tour we had a private tour all day which was WONDERFUL. Definitely worth it.
A formal complaint will be submitted for this business due to poor customer service and lack of timely communication.
We’re a family of 3 with a young child. It’s important that we maximize each day while traveling and have timely communication as to what each day entails. This trip was planned on a Monday for which I contacted business to reschedule for later in the week. The business obliged with flexibility and advised to contact them 24 hours prior to the desired trip date. I contacted the business on Tuesday am to set up trip for the following day. Zero communication until 8:40pm on Tuesday, from this business’ driver, that pick up was scheduled the following day. Since I didn’t hear from this business until late at night, we already made alternate plans for the following am.
I requested some sort of settlement from business as this trip was paid for but didn’t receive any services rendered. I’ve contacted the business’ point person with no success as to any refund.
I advise finding a private driver for these types of trips vs group tours. There’s professional drivers out there, at a very affordable rate, that’ll take you to all the great places in Mexico City! Spare yourself the headache and stress of dealing with businesses like this.
