I’m so happy that I had someone like Jose to guide me and explain everything in detail to us. I have learned so much from a few hours of his tour. Highly recommend him.

Arturo is a great guide. He was able to customize the tour of the museum based on the activities we planned later in our trip. This is a helpful way to begin a trip to Mexico City.
Excellent tour with lots to learn. Our tour guide, Perla, explained everything extremely well and made the experience informative and enjoyable.
We had Rosa and she was great. If we had gone on our own, we’d never have even realized to look at many of the artifacts, much less realize their importance. She was wonderful and knowledgeable. All of us (3 adults and a 15yo) enjoyed the tour and learned so much! She’s an excellent guide!
Arturo was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. We covered an enormous amount of ground in a relatively short time, and he presented the information in a way that helped us understand it all so much better!
We just wrapped a tour with Arturo and could not recommend him enough! He was so knowledgeable of artifacts in the museum itself, but also was able to provide more context for lots of the pieces and dispel misinformation that was given by archaeologists. He had answers to all of the questions we had and had a great sense of humor throughout the tour. Would highly recommend a tour with Arturo when you’re in CDMX!
This was a fascinating tour. Our guide, Arturo, was extremely knowledgeable on this history of Mexico and the Museum. He made it come alive as he took us through the buildings. I highly recommend this tour and Arturo!

You could really tell she loves her job and her country. Highly recommend taking a tour since there’s sooo many very important pieces that are worth hearing the history behind them
Arturo was great. We were 30min late and he extended the tour to make sure we still hit the full 2hrs. He also asked us what sort of tour we want (deep history or 'just the hits'). My only feedback to Arturo is to be a bit louder when there are other tour groups in the area, or move to a quieter location. It was difficult to hear when other tours were nearby.
Best way to understand the highlights and history in this museum that might otherwise be overlooked. Having a guide made all the difference. Our guide, Rosa, was terrific!

We had an amazing time at the anthropology museum. Perla is a great guide. She was very sweet and explained us the history in detail. She also asked us about the things we are interested in and curated the experience accordingly. I would say this is a must do experience

Our guide was easy to communicate with, kind and enthusiastic. She was well prepared to navigate the very large museum, while still allowing a little space for us to explore and ask questions. I don't think we asked a single question that she couldn't answer!
You may see information online that suggests the exhibits have signage in English. This is largely untrue. If you don't know Spanish you will be guessing what you're looking at in this museum.
Rosa was our family's (my wife and I and two boys 11 and 7) private tour guide at the Museo Nacional de Anthropologia e Historica. She met us in the lobby of the museum and within two minutes were immersed in decoding the symbology of the ‘paraguas’ (the central sculpture in the museum’s courtyard.) Over the next 2.5 hours (plus) Rosa took us through the history of the ancient civilizations that occupied what is now Mexico. She brought a binder of her own visual aides to help us with the chronology and geography. As we walked through the gigantic museum Rosa would pause on key objects as she slowly and methodically built a historical and visual narrative of the pre-Columbian world.
Rosa was enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable. She answered our questions and engaged our children. The Museo Nacional de Anthropologia e Historica is an enormous museum that would have been too daunting (even to seasoned museum goers like ourselves) to do without a guide. I highly recommend a guided tour and if you are lucky enough to get Rosa, you’ll be all the better for it.

Our guide is Arturo and he’s a passionate guide introducing us lots of interesting history of Mexico. He helped us on buying tickets and came early to welcome us. He showed care during the guide asking do we need more rest. There’s a little gap in English speaking but overall a pleasant experience

Jesus was thoughtful, patient and generous with his time, answering every question with care and making the vast museum feel approachable. We left having learned so much and feeling a deeper connection to Mexico’s rich history and culture.
This was one of the best guided tours we have ever experienced, and we highly recommend Jesus.
Arturo was extremely knowledgeable about all things Mexica/Aztec, and explained many things that contradicted the mainstream understandings of historical Central Mexico. His enthusiasm for the subject was nice to see, and his scholarly approach was refreshing. His English was good but his strong accent took a bit of time to adjust to.
Our guide Jesus met us with enthusiasm and shared his passion for Mexico’s history with us.

Diana was an excellent tour guide. The Anthropology museum is a huge and amazing place, but without her help we would not have been able to navigate and fully appreciate what we were seeing. She was very knowledgeable, guided us through the more relevant aspects, was able to explain the story behind the exhibits very clearly and connect them together in a way that all made sense. Without her help, we would not have been able to truly appreciate what this incredible museum has on offer. I would highly recommend this tour.
Jesus was the perfect tour guide. He made everything super accessible and interesting for our children- he was patient, and fun and super knowledgeable. We’ve never booked a tour for a museum before and we are SO glad we did, otherwise we wouldn’t have known what we were really seeing.
