Itinerary
Your private vehicle collects you from your central Mexico City hotel or vacation rental at your chosen morning slot. Travel with your guide to Tlatelolco, formerly part of the capital of the Aztec empire. Learn the history behind the pre-Columbian and modern buildings that stand side by side.
Continue to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most important shrines in the Catholic world. Hear about the miracles attributed to the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the importance she holds in Mexican culture.
A short drive later, arrive at Teotihuacan, aka the ‘City of the Gods.’ Walk about the main landmarks, including the Avenue of the Dead, the palace of Quetzalpapalotl, and the Sun, Moon, and Quetzalcoatl pyramids.
If you’ve opted for the package with lunch, your guide will take you to a local restaurant for a Mexican feast.
Your tour then ends with drop-off back at your accommodation.

This was an excellent tour from start to finish. Having a knowledgeable guide made a big difference, bringing the fascinating history of Teotihuacan to life and adding great context to such an incredible site. The additional stops at Tlatelolco and the Basilica of Guadalupe were also very worthwhile and added a lot to the overall experience. The lunch location was a great choice, with beautiful views of Teotihuacan. Transportation was in a proper van, which made the day much more comfortable. Everything was well organized, and I highly recommend this tour.

The tour of the pyramids was the highlight of our time in Mexico City and the stop at the Cathedral of Guadalupe complex was an unexpected delight. While the private tour was a little expensive, we found it worth the cost in a private car with a driver and separate guide made for a stress free day.

Overall we’re happy with the tour. Our tour guide, George, had an incredible amount of knowledge. The transportation to and from all of the stops was very nice to have. They provided water, sunscreen, and hats if we needed it. I did feel a couple of times that our guide was trying to dissuade us from visiting a couple sites (because it was a crowded travel day), but it could have just been a misunderstanding. The lunch that was included was very sub-par, although the view of the pyramids was beautiful. I could have done without the obsidian tour, which is mostly just a gimmick to try and get you to buy stuff at their shop. Ultimately, the knowledge of our guide and private transportation made the tour worthwhile.

This was a great tour. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable about the history and considerate about every person’s limitations and interests during the tour. We were a group of 8 people with some kids and elderly people. I would highly recommend the tour to others.

Veronica was a great guide! She was super knowledgeable and I appreciated the broad range of facts she shared across our trip through Mexico city, Teotihuacan, and the basilica. The experience overall was incredibly smooth - the car pickups were all super well timed and it was so convenient! She also showed us a great local restaurant after Teotihuacán. This was an excellent tour! Marta was an AWESOME guide and we appreciated her attentiveness and patience in answering our ongoing questions! We learned so much and never felt rushed. The driver was excellent and we felt safe in the vehicle at all times. It was definitely worth the extra money to take a private tour and highly recommend it!

We arranged to have this tour on Christmas day and were genuinely concerned as to how the tour would be given a religious holiday. It could have been better. Ramon, our tour guide and Luis, our driver made it an unforgettable Christmas. Ramon met us precisely at the designated pickup time in our hotel lobby. From that moment it was a non-stop educational journey of Mexican history; far more than just the destinations on the tour. My family learned more that day than in a lifetime. For an extra fee we chose to have lunch. This I highly recommend and extends the tour to 7 hours. The restaurant was close to the pyramids and the food was authentic and delicious. After lunch we learned about the tequila, obsidian and aloe from a local business owner. For those who appreciate a more intimate tour and don't mind paying extra for outstanding service I can't imagine a better tour operator. Thank you Ramon and Luis!

It was private tour for just two of us, started around 10.00 am pickup from our airbnb location. The car was super clean. Complimentary water and chips and coke and sun cream etc.
Our guide was super friendly and gave us lots of primary information about Mexico city and each stop points.
Overall the whole tour took 4 hours, back to our airbnb.
No hustle no stress. Just good vibes. No selling or lunch or extra stuff.

Overall Roberto was a good guide. I took off a point because he took us to several vendors at the pyramids who we felt pressured to purchase something from. The worst was a man selling rugs and table runners, he was very expensive and wouldn’t leave us alone.

Our tour to Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe was a truly wonderful day from start to finish. Our guide, Ramon, was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing history and cultural insights in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. His friendly, patient personality made the experience even more enjoyable. We never felt rushed and always felt well taken care of. Our driver was excellent as well—safe, professional, and smooth the entire journey. The combination of breathtaking sites and outstanding service made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was friendly, but the major problem was that her English wasn’t good. She tried, but she was having trouble coming up with the right words in English. We also had trouble understanding what she was saying at times.It was just lucky that our daughter knows enough Spanish to help translate what she was trying to say at different points... I think the guide would have explained things better and showed us more on the tour if her English was better. She did apologise for her English at the end of the tour. We had no problem with her otherwise, - she was very pleasant - but when you are having a tour in English, you do expect the guide to be able to speak the language well enough.

Our tour was great. We were scheduled when a big protest was to come and the company reassured us they would navigate a route around. The driver and guide were awesome we made it to all the stops without issue. They even secured a reservation for us at the Gruta separately bc I really wanted to see that. Our guide was informative and everything was as described. Highly recommend the tour and if private they will customize it for you. We managed to make it to the basilica in time to watch some of the mass too!

This was a super interesting tour through the pyramids. We also enjoyed the Aztec site and obsidian factory. Roberto was very informative and Daniel kept us safe. A definite highlight was the lunch! Highly recommended. Note that the tour was described as being 6 hours long but it was actually 8 hours. Just something to confirm in advance.

Fabulous tour!! Definitely do the pyramids first as they close the area down earlier than the Shrine. We didn't have quite as much time at the pyramids because we requested doing the opposite order. Also, be sure to include the lunch! One of the best meals we had while in Mexico City. We sat outdoors with a view of the pyramids!! Food was authentic and service was excellent. Also enjoyed the shopping afterwards and story from guest host, Gabriel, regarding the ancient art of utilizing the rock Obsidian to make things. The pyramids were awe inspiring and so was the Guadalupe Shrine. The best thing about the whole tour was our guide Carlos!! He was so knowledgeable about everything we saw and he made us truly appreciate the Mexican culture and its history. Highly recommend this tour!!

Amazing tour! Includes a lot of quality experiences. Our tour guide Jorge was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the pyramids and other sites, and our driver Danny was cool too. The lunch was also good. Of the three tours we took in Mexico City this weekend, this one was probably the best value.

We had a great adventure with our guide Roberto and driver Danielo. We did the special sites, the Teotihuacan/Aztec ruins, a much more comprehensive tour than the same type of tour we had in February of this year. All areas were covered. Roberto really knew the subject. The grand Basilica of Mary of Guadalupe was especially good as Roberto discussed details I had not heard before. And--as an added extra--Roberto took on a ride of one of the Mexicables, the city's sky trams. That was exciting, and totally unexpected! Best tour team in Mexico, Danielo our driver was safe, thoughtful and helpful .Highly recommended!

We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Our tour guide was Carlos, who was really well-informed and fun to be with. Driver was Arturo. In addition to the pyramid area, we went to an obsidian factory and Our Lady of Guadalupe. I highly recommend it.

We have just finished a truly fantastic day out on the tour led by Veronica (our guide) and Arturo (our driver). Lovely people and Veronica was extremely knowledgeable, we learned lots at our own pace and we could see how much she enjoyed sharing information about Mexican culture from ancient times through to the modern day. We highly recommend this tour and our guides! Personally we would avoid the lunch stop if booking again though.
