Wonderful tour of Honey Island Swamp - Gators Galore!
This tour is very well run and organized. The guides were all great. We had driver Justina on the bus to and from the swamp. She provided a lot of history and information and was also warm and funny.
Our boat guide was Captain Dave. Like Justina, he was from the area, so we got a lot of local lore and history from him. He was funny and engaging and told great stories.
I was expecting the swamp to be buggy. Not at all. We didn't need mosquito spray. The water on the Pearl River is pretty fast moving and it slower moving at Honey Island, but still no bugs. What you will see are tons of animals! We saw egrets and other birds, snakes, turtles, etc. You will definitely see alligators of all sizes and cute wild raccoons because they know that the guides have food. They lure them with a high-quality zoo grade pellet made mostly of fish (that's what I was told). It guarantees the animals will put on a show for you.
All around wonderful tour!

Amazing cemetery and history tour of New Orleans cemeteries
Amazing tour guide David and Captain Carl took us on an amazing and spooky tour of the dead in Nee Orleans. We learned about the history of VooDoo and Santeria religions. We saw the amazing Odd Fellows Rest and Charity Hospital Cemeteries and history that spanned the origins of New Orleans up to Hurricane Katrina. Amazing tour. Highly recommend.

Great Swamp Tour, plenty Alligators
We had a Great time with Captain Daren, very informative about the land & wildlife, the boat ride was smooth and we saw many gators, turtles and even a bald eagle in the nest.
There was white egrets and great blue heron birds. Marsh & various species of trees.
In general we had a wonderful time, the boat is covered so you are protected from any rain or sun exposure. Pick a morning time for a bit cooler experience, South LA is beautiful and the swamp tour gives you a glimpse into a Cajun’s fisherman’s environment and you’ll see some alligators on the tour.

This was an awesome...
This was an awesome experience with a brilliant local guide who lived and breathed this place. The boat was fun and we were quite fortunate with the wildlife. We saw a ridiculous number of alligators of all sizes, as well as a bald eagle, barn own, snake!
TWO TIPS!
Remember to bring cash for tipping your guide at least (we gave 20-40 USD) and ideally the two drivers (if you want to be a nice, even just a couple of dollars each).
You may get a little splashed and windswept so don't wear your finest whites or cap. There's a small shop but it is worth bringing a water bottle, snacks, and sunscreen.
Be mindful there are some less orthodox ways of connecting with the animals here. It's standard practice for the guides to offer marshmallows to the gators. Which is an odd and amusing sight in and of itself, but as animal advocates who prefer the 'look but don't touch' approach we had to accept this as part of the relationship people have with the wildlife here, even though it did make us uncomfortable (we declined to touch a baby gator)

Do not overlook spending one or two days there.
It is an amazing museum. The museum is very detail oriented. If we come back to New Orleans it will be to spend more time at this incredible place. They did such a great job of representing everyone who contributed to the war. We loved it!! I learned a lot about WWII history.

The boat ride was great....
The boat ride was great. The tour of the battle field wasn’t bad I just wish we had more time at the battlefield. The walk from the boat to the field took the longest which took away from the time you get to explore the grounds. But it was still a nice tour.

Great in spite of the cold!
We had booked this experience weeks ahead, only to have a weird cold snap happening and affecting our day. However, we still had a great time! Garrett was our captain and was still able to find a mama alligator to show us. I think we only saw 3 in total (no surprise with the cold) but some beautiful birds and the landscape were still all worth it. So much great information was shared and the air boat experience alone was so fun (even in 40 something degree weather)! Highly recommend this to anyone considering going.

Great and Ghoulish
You have to take a ghost tour while in NOLA and this one was a great combo of so many NOLA things. Totally worth it. Jamie was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. She loves her city and it showed. You will get a history and she will blow your mind about misconceptions you probably have about VooDoo.

Early trip at the perfect pace
Easy way to get an overview of the area before we explored later. Guide had great stories & knowledge. We went early before the people & traffic started to build up. Made navigating the streets easier. The carriage travelled at a great pace. Faster than walking, but not so quick you missed anything. Would do again.

Beautiful aquarium arch,...
Beautiful aquarium arch, great for photography and cool insect exhibits. I particularly liked the butterfly garden and the arch. You could even trying eating bugs if you dare. Nice fun facts too. It’s been a while since I’ve to an aquarium, so this felt like a treat.

History and Mystery yes please!
This whole tour was great, all the things I hoped it would be. The history, mystery, and tragedy. Jamie was a delight. Knowledgeable, fun, and witty. Everything from her story telling to her fun style made the tour fun. My teenagers talked about the tour and stories all night. They remembered the details even. I was in awe of the beautiful alter we saw after the walking as we prepared for the spell. We encountered other groups, which we made sure to give plenty of space and Jamie greeted other guides with light banter. The streets still have so much history. I would not have picked up on the 'security systems' that were still visible, just one of the small things we learned during the tour. Jamie took a few minutes after the tour to answer a couple of questions. Highly recommend
Would definitely do this tour again!
