HIghly Recommend
This private tour of Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace was perfect for our group of six. Our guide and driver, Alessando, was fantastic. He picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable van, and the entire day was very well organized with skip-the-line tickets included. Alessando’s knowledge of the area made exploring the castles and traveling between locations simple, relaxing, and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour!

Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof
We enjoyed this tour very much. Both Linderhof and Neuschwanstein Castle were beautiful inside and out. The detail in the art and design are incredible (in my opinion). The gardens at Linderhof were very nice as well. Our Tour Guide was very good and gave you lots of information. It was a fun day out. Be aware that there are a lot of steps that you have to navigate, but it is worth it.

Wonderful visit to the castles! We even saw a 3rd one from the outside when visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The tour bus was relaxing and on schedule all day. We wish the guided castle tours were a little longer but not Viator's fault. Beautiful drive through Bavaria.

Wonderful tour
Christine and Mentor were amazing!! Christine was very knowledgeable, kind, and offered great food recs when getting to the town before going up to Neuschwanstein castle! Such a cool tour getting to see Linderhof Palace first and then heading to Neuschwanstein after! Even though the weather was quite foggy, it didn’t stop this tour from being amazing. Mentor also was great and got us there smoothly. Bus was clean and comfortable. Would so recommend this all day tour!

  • Neuschwanstein Castle ticket lines can be long in peak season—plan ahead and book a skip-the-line tour to avoid the hassle.

  • Wear suitable walking shoes if you opt to walk up to the castle—the road is uphill and uneven in places.

  • The castle is wheelchair-accessible with buses and carriages that can bring visitors up the hill to the entrance; inside, you'll also find elevators.

  • Plan to spend about two hours at the castle, excluding wait times.
