Private Castle experience - well worth the extra cost

We had a marvelous time. David, our guide and driver, was knowledgeable and attentive. He even went the extra mile to allow our good friend to be dropped off at his accommodations, and bought a treat from a vendor he knows for us to try. I would say his driving was a tad aggressive for our taste, but he was efficient and effective. He is a wonderful guide. Our tour was just what I had hoped it would be.

Fantastic Castle Tour and Hidden Gem

Our guide picked us up at the hotel and took us to visit the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. Despite the long journey, he was very pleasant and attentive throughout. He’s very knowledgeable and knows a lot about history. After the castle tours, he suggested taking us to a nearby village specialized in wood carvings which we absolutely loved! He even played Spanish music for us since it’s our first language. We’re very grateful and highly recommend.

Franz, our guide/driver, was so informative. We feel we got more information than most. Neuschwanstein was overwhelming. But the amount of gold in the Linderhof hunting lodge was over the top. Loved the fountains. Oberammergau was beautiful with the best ice cream! We thoroughly enjoyed the day with Franz.

Amazing One-of-Kind Experience

Book this tour! Absolutely incredible experience with Caroline. She was extremely knowledgeable and we loved spending the day with her! She gave us a local’s perspective along with an amazing amount of historical information. Definitely the best tour we’ve ever taken! Loved that we could personalize it - they knew the area really well and could advise on how long each portion of the tour would take (which allowed us to stop for some cheese on our way back to the hotel!) As for the parts of the tour - Caroline knew all about the town of Fussen and Neuschwanstein. The Highline 179 was very cool! My 14-year-old son loved it. Meeting at our hotel and having someone drive us to all the locations made the day effortless! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Emir picked us up and even though we had booked a "tour," he made it very clear the day was entirely open and up to us. We ended up in Füssen and visited Neuschwanstein with a great local lunch after. We were then off to Highline 179 and finished with Linderhof Palace. On the way back, we had a fantastic ice cream stop and returned to Munich by 5pm. Emir was kind, patient and informative. He's a true professional who puts the guest experience above all else.
