This by far is the best tour that we have experienced whilst traveling around Europe. Our Tour Gude Amir was just wonderful, he was very knowledgeable and very funny. The tour was seamless, we were picked up at our accommodation and driven to the shuttle bus where we walked up to a great viewing platform and then we walked to Neuschwanstein castle. Along the way Amir explained the history and explained quite a bit about the castle. Once we finished up the tour Amir was waiting with delicious treats and then we caught the horse and buggy back to where the car was parked. It was a wonderful way to see Neuschwanstein. Thank you Amir for taking such good care of Kris and I. I would highly recommend this tour.

Caroline was wonderful- personable, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the castle very much. Makes you wonder what Ludwig would have accomplished if he was left to live. Highly recommend private experience.

This was a magical experience from start to finish. Our tour guide Paul, was wonderful. He was not only informative but also funny and helpful and we felt very looked after. We got some great family photos as well and Paul knew all the best angles to capture those photos with the impressive scenery and castles in the background. Neuschwanstein Castle itself was breathtaking! A must-do on any visit to Bavaria, Germany.

We had a wonderful guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle with our guide, Amir.
He was knowledgeable, engaging, and very kind, making history come alive with fascinating stories about King Ludwig II and the Wittelsbach family. Our teenage daughters especially enjoyed how he made the tour interactive—rewarding correct answers with chocolates! It was both fun and educational, and we learned a lot while having a great time as a family. Highly recommended!

He also helped us with the next day tour with another company that had not bought our venue tickets. He saved the day!! BEWARE when you buy a ticket from Viator it may only be for the guide not the venue site!!

We visited Neuschwanstein Castle on a VERY busy day (it was the only day on our itinerary we could visit) and I wasn't sure the best way to organize. Then we found Amir! He was AMAZING! He spent the time we had with him giving us fun and fascinating facts, maneuvered us through the crowds, and handled the "front of the line" option with ease. We never had to worry about any logistics....Amir had all of those things handled. We could just soak in all the info he was sharing and 100% focus on the amazing castle. The extra we paid for a private tour with the front of the line option was totally worth the extra money. My husband and I cannot recommend Amir enough! We could tell in his interactions with the castle staff and employees that he is a very loved tour guide. Can't beat that!!

That a private tour is actually a group audio tour and includes your private guilde to and from bottom of castle. Our guide was the same guide who did the group tour and was very knowledgeable

We are truly surprised by such an unfair rating, especially after covering your parking expenses and issuing a partial refund as a gesture of appreciation for accommodating the start time change.
We had also suggested joining the group tour for a more economical option, but you insisted on a private tour. It’s important to clarify that the private tour includes a group audio-guided experience inside the castle, along with your private guide to and from the base of the castle.
Our guide, who also conducted the group tour, is highly knowledgeable and dedicated to ensuring an excellent experience for all guests.

Guide was great. Tour was outrageously expensive relative to the experience. Guide told us there are half the visitors in winter vs summer. Glad we came in the winter despite the icy climb to the castle. Perhaps the carriage ride is worth the money?

I was initially skeptical this would be worth the hefty surcharge, given that this is not a private tour of the castle itself. Also, all of the positive reviews were directed towards Amir, and we were getting his associate, Caroline. BUT…. it was a fantastic experience and absolutely worth the money. Caro is a gifted storyteller and a very warm, engaging person… through her, this distant history came to life and felt very relatable. I wouldn’t have done this experience any other way. We are grateful that things came together the way they did!

We had a terrific time viewing the castle and learning the story of Ludwig II with Amir. Our time in Füssen was short, the tour accommodated us perfectly: pick up from our hotel, quicker trip than most up the mountain (Amir has lots of friends), fast track lines and promptly back to town at the end. The castle is spectacular but the passionate retelling of the history by Amir and how that ties to the local people vastly amplified our experience. The Special Private Tours promise was spot on, we came as tourist and left as friends.

This is not a private tour. Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable, but wasn’t really a guide like advertised for this activity. He picked us up/ dropped us off and walked us to the castle entrance. When you get to the castle you get a hand held audio, you are with 30+ people and no guide. Wonderful castle ,but this is not worth the money and was not a private tour.

As noted in our tour description, your booking included a private guide exclusively for your group, private transfers with pick-up and drop-off at your location, and guaranteed tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle, even though tickets were sold out online. We also arranged a horse carriage ride to add to the experience. Please be aware that while the guide and transfers were private, Neuschwanstein Castle requires a group entry, and this detail is clearly outlined in the description.

Our guide, Amir was exceptional. He has a passion for history and is an excellent communicator. He was able to connect German history, Bavarian royal family history and Ludwig II’s life story with Neuschwanstein Castle to make the tour much more interesting and meaningful.

Amazing site. Knowledgeable and nice guide. Guide’s inside tips saved some time and hassles. Probably not worth over $600 (including tip) but as we had no other way of visiting it was the way to go.

My kids loved it. They loved the carriage ride and all information but I was shocked that I still had to give her money for the castle tour because she could not go in. The tour was only outside. It was over 600 and then also the entrance fee on top of that. This tour did not include the other castle in the property.

After all that we did to accommodate your requests and all the confusion and misunderstandings from your side, including the many changes, even last-minute ones, we went the extra mile to organize the tickets for Hohenschwangau Castle with skip-the-line service without charging a penny for our service. Then you rate all of that with 3 stars?!!!
The price that you paid was well-known before you booked the tour. If you found it expensive, why did you book it then?
Our tour includes exceptional service (transportation to/from the castle, an experienced guide, and guaranteed tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle when all tickets are sold out).
I am sorry that you did not appreciate anything about the tour (even your kids loved it), but please stop telling lies about the tickets not being included in the price. Furthermore, no travel agency is allowed to guide inside the castle (the tour inside the castle is conducted by the castle's guides only), and this is well-known to everyone.

Caroline was our English guide. She was delightful to be with and was very knowledgeable about Ludwig II, his family, and their place in Bavarian history. As older Americans, it was very helpful to be with someone who knew the process of getting to the castle and back via bus and horse carriage. There was a large crowd and it could have been quite confusing for me personally.

We had a wonderful experience with Caroline, she picked us up from our hotel and brought us to the castle and provided an excellent history on our walk up on the path to the castle. When you get to the castle it is an audio guided tour and the staff inside takes you from room to room while you listen to the device. Once we got out Caroline had even more knowledge about the area and the history of both castles and had great recommendations for other activities and places to go.

We got absolutely soaked in rain but our lovely tour guide made up for it with great conversation and vibes. We could have cancelled but persevered and were rewarded with a lovely view as the clouds broke from the castle balcony
