We then head to Reykholt, an ancient town steeped in medieval Icelandic manuscript studies. Another short drive will take us to the spellbinding Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. We then drive for about 1 hour to the town of Borgarnes, with its interesting Settlement Museum, revealing the tales of Iceland's first Viking settlers.
