For the Cultural Safari in Bávaro / Punta Cana, pick-up is included from hotels located in the Bávaro and Punta Cana area. Pick-up from hotels in Bayahibe has an additional cost of 20 USD per person. It is very important for travelers to confirm their exact pick-up location so we can coordinate transportation correctly.

Met our friendly tour guide Chris and his driver, who navigated the way into the city in an air conditioned mini bus. On our ways to and from attractions, there was a few pit stops along the way at local souvenir shops where we were treated with local cultured delights cigars, chocolate, coffee etc. Do allow about 5-6 hours for this trip to account for some local traffic and distance between each site.

The tour guide was nice and communicated well. It was a very informal tour with stops. There wasnt a formal demonstration of rolling cigar or the process.
The city tour was very short.

I signed up for an English speaking tour. The group was 4 people, 2 Spanish speakers from USA, and 2 non-Spanish speakers (which includes me). The guide focused on the 2 ladies that spoke Spanish. He didn’t explain well when every time we made a stop, sometimes the stop was not tour related. We spent an excessive amount of time in one small gift shop with little to choose from. The time spent was catered to the 2 older Spanish speaking ladies. I was excited to walk through open market to look and buy local foods — all we need was speed walk through the market area and walked out. zero time to look anything. Everything felt rushed except the one stupid gift shop and the horse ride.

Good afternoon. I understand your dissatisfaction, but you started the day in a bad mood; you were complaining about your hotel from the moment we picked you up. You carried that negative attitude over to the tour, which led you to complain about everything. If you look at my reviews, out of 54 comments, yours is the only negative one.

The tour was ok, the guide Chris was knowledgeable but on the picture it advertised a large open air vehicle but we were picked up in a minivan! There were 6 adults squeezed in plus the driver & guide. We were super uncomfortable throughout the whole tour & unable to get good pictures due to being squeezed in!

It was brilliant experience. Cris brought us to all must see spots. Local areas, market, cocoa farm, cigars and horse riding were fun over the stunning views. Definitely recommend it. This trip ticked all boxes which we wanted to see and to do.

The excursion was excellent. From the moment Chris picked us up at the hotel, he provided information and explained the history of the place. The views along the way were breathtaking. The ranch and horseback riding, the basilica, Higüey, the Dominican aunt's house where we saw the cacao process, and the food—it was a very cultural tour, just as I wanted. The service was excellent. 100% recommended.

The tour was ok but our guide made it feel boring he was on his phone in the bus and let us alone to discover by ourselves the different places we went. Also every stop was very fast and we went to the next stop. The places we visit could've been fun but he didnt gave us much info about them and gave us limited time to visit. We also somehow we never went to the beach at the end.

We originally had a switch up with our activity dates and Christopher was VERY accommodating and still showed us a great time! The food, culture, and sites were all great and we were free to ask all types of questions! Not only did we go to the designated spots, he also took the time to show us some real spots to get good food and drinks outside of the popular places.
When going to the chocolate and coffee spot, the demonstration was very good and they let us taste the products at their different stages. The lunch was really tasty and very fresh, each of us had 2 plates of food and really enjoyed the hospitality!!! Would highly recommend!

Supposed to be half day ended up 9 hours! Lots of hanging g around waiting for others to do activities who were on a full day. Should not put two trips together. Over an hour late picking up.

But I was keeping in touch with you, calling and texting you every two minutes. You had the best time at the activity; you even danced with us. Listen to your tour guide. Ask tour guide for advice before making purchases so you don’t over pay. Also, take horse ride at beach as well as on ranch. Pack light bring a change of clothes and sunscreen.

Fun experience. Truck was in maintenance. But he still made a way. The tour of the city was nice and it was good to see the local culture. It was raining so we didn't go to the beach.

Easy paced, a number of interesting sights (Cathedral, cigar store that let's you make your own cigar, Macao Beach - beautiful), lunch was plentiful and delicious. Bring money to buy souvenirs.

I appreciate the pick up from our hotel. The horse back riding was a blast. The cigar making was very quick. They're mainly trying to sell you whatever they can. Macao beach would be nice if they people weren't trying to push all their trinkets on you. They get you by giving you a cheap little bracelet while guiding you to their storefront. One man was really aggressive. Just be firm and tell them youre not interested unless you are obviously.

Just a reminder, they sneak in 20 mins at macao beach so bring beach wear, extra clothes, towel. The church was amazing went on Christmas day.

It was nice, the travel agent took us through all activities in his car, we were happy about it because we didn’t have to ride in a bus and wait in lines, as groups do, and afterward he took us to Macana beach and let us stay there for a while so we could enjoy. He also got me zip line and buggies experience tour more convenient, as they initially didn’t pick up from my hotel. And hotel-airport ride rate is normal
