Top Dominican Republic Day Trips

This was a great experience. The hike up the mountain wasn't too bad, but thank goodness for the few breaks they gave us. The one drawback was that this is a Very popular tour, so there were several operators with concurrent tours making it quite crowded. The natural slides were fun, but the best part was jumping off the cliff. The tour guide that drive us there (sorry I didn't get his name), was Great! He was patient and courteous. The lunch was wonderful. I'll definitely be doing this tour again in 2027.

Our trip to Santo Domingo was an absolutely exhilarating experience! We booked a small-group tour with Xcape Tours, and from start to finish, everything was superb. Our driver, Miguel, was pleasant, patient, and accommodating to everyone in the group. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by José, whose knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable. He is truly an excellent tour guide! We had the opportunity to visit some incredible places throughout Santo Domingo, and each stop gave us greater insight into the rich history, culture, and heritage of the Dominican Republic. José did an amazing job bringing the history to life with his knowledge and storytelling, making each location even more meaningful. And the food was absolutely delicious! We had the opportunity to enjoy true Dominican cuisine, and every dish was full of authentic flavors that gave us an even deeper appreciation for the Dominican culture. Our experience with Xcape Tours was exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment—from the beautiful sights and fascinating history to the amazing food and wonderful hospitality. Miguel and José truly helped make our trip special. We highly recommend Xcape Tours to anyone looking for an authentic, informative, and unforgettable Dominican experience. We can’t wait to book another adventure with them!

This was a long day but worth it. Susie was the absolute BEST guide! She handled the French & English speakers and was amazing. The photographer was also great and so reasonably priced. Montana redonda had spectacular views, the swings (so cool), hammocks, look out tower, and more! The ride up the mountain was an adventure! The ranch & waterfall were even better. The fresh cacao & coconut bread, authentic lunch, waterfall, & clay mud mask are just a few of the highlights of this stop. Such a great look at the real Dominican culture and cooking. Last stop was the national park boat ride and cave exploring- boat were awesome. Beautiful views, lots of birds, cave drawings, and more. It was a lot of driving but Susie provided a ton of really cool information along the way. The whole day felt very relaxed and nothing was rushed. We also didn't feel like any of the three spots were busy or heavily populated with other tours/visitors. Highly recommend if you are looking for a full day excursion, you like nature/adventure, and you want to see the non resort side of the DR!
