Fantastic trip! Before...
Fantastic trip! Before the trip we were given great instructions to find our guide. We were quickly taken off to the Mayan ruins. We were lucky enough to be the only group on our tour and we arrived before all the other big tour groups so we were able to see the spider monkeys in the trees and get great photos. Francisco our guide was knowledgeable and informative. We then moved onto Bacalar and the 7 colours lagoon which was stunning. We were taken out on a very comfortable pontoon boat and were able to swim in the beautiful lagoon. Drinks and snacks were always available including beer and tequila if you wanted it! After the lagoon we went for some delicious tacos in a local restaurant. We loved the trip and were extremely well looked after. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Great experience
This was a great excursion. Carlos was a wealth of information and very entertaining. The ruins were very interesting. Paul was great as well on the ride back. Daniel was very impressive. He drove that bus in places I didn't think we're possible. We also enjoyed the mangoes and pineapple on the way back. I would definitely recommend this excursion. Great job all the way around

Best Day in Costa Maya
Loved this excursion. I was nervous about booking an excursion where it was over an hour away from the port, but the back to ship guarantee helped me decide to go ahead and go for it. Our guide and our driver were excellent. Joseline, our guide was with us the entire time.. from the car ride, the pontoon boat, the restaurant. The lagoon was beautiful and the whole family said it was worth the drive. The Pineapple- let’s just say one wasn’t enough, it was so good! One thing I wish I woulda known was that you cannot wear sunscreen in the lagoon, had I known that I would have covered up a little more as I was already burnt from the day before. The drive there and back went much quicker than I thought it would. I will say there is not a lot to see most of the drive, but we all took a little nap on the way back. The tacos that were also included were very good as well!

Very enjoyable and informative tour
We really enjoyed our tour to Chacchoben, safe and smooth driving by Daniel and fascinating information imparted by Octavio really made this a tour worth doing. The ruins were really interesting, much less commercial than Chichen Itza, more interactive, and several monkeys were playing around the in the trees of the area, for an extra bit of fun. I'd recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in Mayan history.

Mixing Caribbean shores with ancient Maya culture, Costa Maya offers equal opportunities for sightseeing and soaking up the sun. Costa Maya excursions transport you deep into the jungle to the 3,000-year-old Chacchoben Ruins to learn about one of the Maya empire’s most important ceremonial centers. Other tours whisk you into the water at the Bacalar Lagoon—known as the Lake of Seven Colors, thanks to its iridescent hues—and luxury beach clubs where you can enjoy massages and mojitos by the Caribbean Sea.
