Such an amazing experience. Our outdoor guide was super knowledgeable! Fun, exciting and engaging. He traveled with our three kids age of 6, 14 and 16. Would highly recommend! We had to listen to at first because of the kids. But they loved every single bit of this excision! Definitely makes sure appreciate communa 13 and it’s history a lot more! Do not miss this excursion

We messaged the tour guide at 4pm to say we’d be 4 minutes late, there was unexpected traffic in Medellin. We received no response. So we showed up (again just 4 minutes late) and it was absolute chaos at the coffee shop. Everyone told us that no one was our tour guide and that maybe they would be on their way soon. 4:45 rolls around and no one was there. Another guide from a different company finally found us and paired us with a different guide that was great - I requested a refund from this company because they never communicated once even to this day - but they rejected the refund. So we paid $24 for absolutely nothing. Not worth it. Find a different company.

Lucho was great, great personality, a lot of humor. He educated us on the history of the Comuna 13 history before the tour. We had great snacks, empanadas (vegan) and sweet treat. He gave us time to walk alone and meet back at a certain time for those who wanted to wander off. I took my 4 yo and he was perfectly fine as the snacks really set the tone for him lol. There is a very decent amount of walking as well, so dress appropriately.

I showed up at designated meeting point early. There was another group there and i showed them my reservation and they told me they knew this guy amd he is not here yet but confirmed i was in the righr spot. I tried contacting via viator app no reply. I even called the tour company's number, no answer. The other group leader gave me the gentleman's whatsapp #, he eventually replied and said the group left. I believe this was a lie as two different people confirmed they did not see tour group today. Plus i was there early and did not see anyone. I have a feeling i may have been the only participant and the manager felt it easier not to show up then give one person a tour.

The tour was great!! We went at a relaxed pace, lots of great information, and an excellent guide! Lucho took us to many viewpoints without the crowds, gave us an opportunity for relaxation and shopping, and we did not just have one snack we had three!! Lucho was probably my favorite part of the tour. He is well known in the neighborhood, great personality, and captures the spirit and pride of being a Colombian. We were also late due to traffic and Lucho waited for us, communicated our meeting point, and made us feel so relaxed when we arrived. We are so happy with this experience and would recommend this tour to anyone!

This is a very authentic tour of the area with a true local of the neighborhood. He walks you through a variety of spots, giving general history and includes a lot of personal anecdotes that really add a lot of meaning to the stories told. Would very much recommend this tour for anyone looking for a small group experience in comuna 13!

We had an amazing experience on the Comuna 13 graffiti tour. Daniel was our guide and he was absolutely fantastic — his English was excellent, he was extremely knowledgeable, and you could tell how passionate he is about sharing the history and culture of the area.
The tour started with a formal introduction and Colombia’s maracumango ice cream, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. Throughout the tour, Daniel explained the significance behind the graffiti, took us to incredible mural spots and beautiful miradores, and made the entire experience feel meaningful and engaging. We also stopped to eat empanadas, which made it even better.
What made this tour even more special is knowing that the profits go toward an amazing organization that supports the community’s youth. From start to finish, everything felt safe, well-organized, and enjoyable. Pickup and drop-off were in safe zones, which will make tourists feel very comfortable.
If you’re visiting Medellín, I highly recommend this tour — you’ll be in great hands and have a truly memorable experience.

Unfortunately, this experience was a letdown. The host rescheduled our original booking at the last minute, citing bad weather—but the day turned out to be absolutely beautiful. When we agreed to the new date, we showed up as planned, but the host never did. No communication, no explanation. Really disappointing, especially after rearranging our plans twice. Complete waste of time and money. Scam!!

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide Lucho was funny and very knowledgeable. It was so helpful to have a local guide us around the area (could get very confusing if you're on your own) and share some of the important history of Comuna 13. Also, the empanadas were delicious, as was the paleta-type sweet treat.
