Great tour! Our tour guide Joe was great, spoke perfect English and was kind and chill. He had photos and videos about the history of the neighborhood and showed what the places we were standing looked like 20 years ago. He explained how the murals told the story and it was interesting to hear his perspective of the story, definitely different from the perspective we had heard from others. There was quite a bit of walking but frequent stops with good places to sit down in the shade and grab drinks. The street food was delicious and the vendors were so welcoming and happy to see us. We went to a little spot with comfy seats to see street performers who were really fun. Another great thing was that no one was pushy with sales though there were lots of street vendors. We brought our 7 year old son and it all felt perfectly safe and everyone was so kind to him, he was the only child on our tour. Art, music, dance, food, drinks, friendly people, we loved it! Highly recommend.

He explained the history of the places we visited in great detail, including important events that happened in the past. He also gave us great recommendations for other places and attractions to visit during our stay. We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot thanks to his explanations. I had a great time on this tour! Comuna 13 was vibrant, colourful and full of energy, and I really enjoyed learning about the history and transformation of the community while experiencing the art, music and culture. The tour was well organized, engaging and a lot of fun. There’s so much to see, and the atmosphere makes the experience even better. I also enjoyed the street food stops along the way. Definitely one of the highlights of my time in Medellín and a tour I would recommend to anyone visiting!

This tour is a must do if you’re in Medellin. I did the evening tour and it was wonderful. Our tour guide Andres was informative and polite. He’s so kind and helpful. This journey is steep, so wear comfortable shoes and prepare your taste buds for delicious Colombian snacks.

Highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide was Andres and he did a great job of providing the history behind communa 13 and the graffiti. The tour overall was the perfect length- not too long and plenty of stops along the way to rest, get snacks, and use the restroom. Highly recommend getting the limonada de coco from the restaurant/bar stop.
